What would happen to your country if you could exchange your president for Trump?
by Wonderment inwhat if we could exchange one president from another country to yours?...

I don’t think Fred Trump ever needed his son Donald’s help. Donald’s father and grandfather were self made men.
The older trump dodged the army draft in the 1800s in Germany and made his fortune running whorehouses in British Columbia and Whitehorse Yukon.
Fred trump started building rental properties when he was 18 years old and ended up owning 27000 apartment units.

Trumps old man was worth 400 million dollars. I would hardly consider him a general contractor. Both Trump and Trudeau were born with a silver spoon.

About the same. Both born from a wealthy, entitled vagina. I really don’t have much use for people like that.

No 2019 Conventions in Ireland ?
by Phizzy ini may have got this wrong, but using the dreaded jw website, they seem to be directing the irish j.w's to go to birmingham in england this weekend.. is this correct ?
they always used to hold two conventions in ireland, are there none in 2019 ??.
probably the irish ones actually, truly, made a loss, but think of all the travelling, including a flight or sea ferry crossing if i am correct.

I might have been at that Winnipeg convention Blondie. There were way more people there than there should have been. A total shit show.

Why do we see only brown-colored people in USA detention centers?
by Wonderment inwhy are for the most part brown-colored people held in detention centers?
where are the rest of illegal immigrants?i think the question is valid -- as one website noted: "the u.s. government does not maintain reliable demographics of who is in immigration detention..." (https://www.freedomforimmigrants.org/detention-statistics).
a canadian woman not too long ago said to me (spontaneously - i did not bring up the subject) the following words when she heard the live tv news broadcast, which dealt about the immigrants being held at dozens of detention centers in usa: "i am canadian, and i have been living here illegally for 29 years.

Canadian illegals? The only ones I know are the snowbirds that stay an extra week in Yuma because they don’t want to drive the motorhome though a blinding snowstorm in May on the way home.

Last Thursday's Meeting in Elmira, On
by newsheep ini had gotten a phone call from a brother who was really upset.
he said there was a resolution passed that everyone is in agreement to the selling of the elmira hall.
the strange thing is at the congregation picnic an elder told him that a few years ago the deed to the hall was signed over to the org.

There is another hall being sold off that I know of out west. They did a complete renovation last year. That seems to be part of the program. It makes the building easier to sell and it costs the organization f@#$ all!

If the UK leaves the EU WITHOUT a deal.....
by The Fall Guy in.....it would appear that the republic of ireland (not the uk) is responsible under eu law for the setting up of a hard border with its non-eu neighbour, northern ireland.
just as spain had to do with ceuta in morocco.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ceuta_border_fence.
a 310 mile border would cost a helluva lot to build and to cover with security.

The UK is better off on their own IMO.

I’ve noticed that the question routine happens a lot in jw land. The last convention I attended was not where I was assigned. Even though I had a lapel card I was asked invasive questions by the attendants to confirm I was a genuine witness. They witnesses are becoming more paranoid every year.
