  Economic Recovery after COVID-19

  it feels like we've really turned a corner, this morning especially.. the covid lockdowns are ending and medical systems were not overwhelmed plus there are existing treatments that have been proven to be effective (like hydroxychloroquine) and new vaccines and medicines in the pipeline.

  a week or so ago the dems were dead against opening things up but since they are encouraging protests (which often turn violent) they can't continue that stance - thus proving trumps claim that it will soon be gone.

  the majority of the deaths were politician-assisted (which i hope people are prosecuted for) so it's not the big risk we were led to believe and (over) reacted to.. the bls reported this morning that the us economy just added a huge number of jobs (most on record) and will undoubtedly benefit even more from a drive to source local production and supply chains going forwards.

  I’ve learned from covid that a lot of jobs are bullshit and are not needed. I think the owners of the companies have realized that they can be just as or more profitable with less staff.

  In my small company I’ve learned over the last 2 months of the lockdown (essential service) how to be much more efficient with less labour.

  I hate to shit in Simon’s cornflakes but I don’t see a speedy economic recovery. Restaurants, airlines, hotels and brick and mortar stores are going to have a hard time climbing out of the abyss. Now that businesses realize that some of their employees prefer working from home commercial real estate will take a hit. Some people like their $2000.00 a month covid check from Trudeau so will also be reluctant to return to the workforce.

  How Would You React if a Snake Started Talking to You?

  just an odd thought i guess.

  i saw a large snake in the back of my house the other day and it went on its merry way.

  i just asked myself, what if the snake turned around and wanted to have a philosophical discussion on life, the universe or the origin of creation and then began to ask me questions?

  7 during the thousand year rule of christ, all of jehovah’s earthly children will have to make changes to please him.

  so all of them will have true fellow feeling as they help the resurrected ones to combat sinful tendencies and to live by jehovah’s standards.

  I’ve had new light two times in my life.

  We originally had incandescent light bulbs. That light took up a lot of energy. Then we got those squiggly compact fluorescents but that light grew dim when it got cold outside and they had a lot of bad mercury in them that was bad for the environment.

  Then we put in led lights which in our current understanding is the true light.

  for me it was watching a brother have a heart attack during the meeting in the auditorium.

  i was a kid and noticed him shaking and acting strange.

  The conundrum is what group deserve life at the expense of another?

  Do we keep everything shut down to save the elderly and immune compromised in first world countries while at the same time limiting agricultural output so that the poor in third world countries can’t afford to buy food?

  Who’s life is more important? The rich with risk factors or the poor?

  The other concerns at hand will be the financial cost to small businesses and unemployment, not to mention the blooming tax bill which is going up and up.

  Having food to eat, a functional heating/cooling system, electricity, garbage removal, water and sewer are kinda nice too.
