  What's the Latest re How JW's are Associating and Preaching?

  so i'm curious how jw's are affected by the covid virus.

  are they still preaching or having meetings etc?.

  No more high paid speaking engagements for you Mr Suzuki as this contributes to climate change.

  We eat oil. The best green solution would be to turn the clock back 150 years and go back to organic farming with the horse.

  Horsepower took about one third of the farmland just to feed the horses. Take away petroleum based fertilizers and pesticides and another third of food production is lost.

  So to go totally green we need to starve out 5 billion people

  Electric motors can be extremely energy efficient and the vehicle doesn’t need a conventional transmission. The only drawback is range and battery life. If everyone switched to an electric car tomorrow the electrical grid would fail. There just isn’t enough power lines or generation capacity to handle the extra load.

  Solar and wind can’t do it so we would need more gas or coal fired electricity which defeats the purpose of the electric car. Nuclear power plants are the solution but no one wants one in their back yard.

  If your teachings don’t agree with the bible, make a new bible.

  Does anyone have an “old” new world translation. I can’t remember how Micah 6:8 was rendered.

  Are You Satisfied With The Way The News Media Acts?

  it would be a wonderful thing if the news media tried to exercise some fairness when they report the news or editorialize on a matter.

  if the news media does not stop showing bias, i would like to see sanctions of some sort on the cnn’s of the world.

  i really don’t think they can make the media fair but it would be nice..

  so get this, wt has something they're calling a "jw box" that gives people in africa "spiritual food".

  the best part, they want donations of $75 for it!

  so they don't provide any physical food to people in africa but they can send them "spiritual food" for $75.

  Do You Think “Protestors “Should Be Able To Shut Down Bridges Highways and Hospital Emergency Areas?

  some believe protesters have the “right” to block main roads, traffic and other places simply because they have a right to protest something.. in la, two deputies were ambushed and shot in the head and as the ambulance tried to take the fallen deputies to the emergency room, protesters blocked the way chanting they wished the police would die!

  .

  in nyc blm protesters blocked the george washington bridge and other major highways and streets to protest for their cause.. do you think this is acceptable?

  In Canada we’ve had climate activists, animal rights activists and native rights activists shutting down farms, highways and railroad tracks.

  People have a right to protest and that right needs to be protected in a democracy. However, as a businessman I have a right to transport my goods and provide services to customers.

  A good compromise between the two groups is to allow businesses to be paid for economic losses due to missed shipments and delays. We should be able to send an invoice to individual protesters and green peace, BLM and Native groups for our losses.

  Demurrage on a bulk vessel waiting in harbour is in the tune of $50,000 per day. A unit train sitting on a blocked track runs in the neighborhood of a few thousand dollars an hour.
