A person could have moved house, or across the country, kept showing up on zoom. The elders would never know. A perfect opportunity to just disappear of their radar when things open up again.

Are Jehovah Witness willing to end studies?

i recently came across the above watchtower article which spoke about conducting bible studies which lead to baptism.
it progressed to say that if the bible study instructor does not see growth within the student or the desire to work towards baptism, then the studies should end.

People are dumping currency in favor of “safe” assets. Real estate, cryptocurrency, precious metals and equities. As last man standing pointed out currency is being debased and there will be inflation. A healthy economy needs it as a small percentage. Governments are printing money like there’s no tomorrow and inflating the money supply. Inflation is not all about an inflated money supply. It is also about a shortage of goods and services real or perceived. We saw it last spring with the run on toilet paper. Even though the supplies were ample the perception of a shortage caused panic buying and suppliers could charge more.
Covid 19 is creating disruptions in the supply chain that has and will lead to shortages that will fuel inflation. Governments giving out “free” money as stimulus compound the problem.
It seems to me that governments want people to be dependent on them. They are taking away the opportunities for people to be independent and wanting to introduce basic income which will lead to more problems in the end.

The meat and dairy industries are the number one polluters/contributors to greenhouse gases. Medical science is showing the outright damage that consuming meat does to the human body. It doesn't surprise me in the least that there is a push to a meatless human society or at least a movement toward lab grown meat.
The minimalist movement is also picking up momentum. A consumer based society is not sustainable and only adds to problems. Try the 90 day challenge. If you don't use something for 90 consecutive days get rid of it.
These kinds of ideas are dangerous to our civilization. Do you realize that owning a goat or a cow can mean the difference of life or death to a poor family? All of these crazy reset schemes are thought up in the deranged minds of elitist disconnected rich people.
Don’t believe everything the virtue signalling entitled upper middle class tell you. Some years due to weather issues grain crops are not fit for human consumption, but a cow, pig or chicken will eat that grain and make food from an otherwise unfit product.
The 30 day and 90 day challenge? More upper middle class virtue signalling. Poor people live like this their entire lives. The great reset will make the majority poorer.

2020 was the best year for the Pandemic!
by pistolpete inthe watchtower sees the pandemic as a wake up call for inactive jehovah’s witnesses to wake up before it’s to late.. it’s a wake up call for all worldly people to takes sides with jehovah’s organization before the great tribulation breaks out world wide.
it’s a wake up call for all apostates to beg jehovah for mercy, meet with the elders, confess their sins, and accept the discipline meted by the elders, and (possibly----maybe----you may be concealed in the day of jehovah’s anger.).
on the other hand reality teaches us another thing.

First the population has exploded in the last 200 years because of one thing. Cheap energy. Oil. It has allowed us to produce more food than ever before.
Had this pandemic been different one hundred years ago. Yes, it would have killed a lot less people as the weak would have already died of something else.

2020- Canadian politicians after telling citizens to avoid unnecessary travel to stop the spread of covid 19 but they themselves took their tropical vacations “ We did nothing illegal, you didn’t have to cancel your travel plans, in fact you should be ashamed for being so selfish and not supporting the travel industry”

but gee-hovah didn't like it and my parents wanted me to sling watchtowers and awakes.
it's a good thing i'm in a profession that i can work and pay the bill's and finally left the "trooth "..

Even though I learned ttatt at 40ish I don’t believe the previous years were totally wasted. I will admit I was duped but waking up older I missed out on a lot of negative youthful pursuits. One of my jw friends left in his 20s. He was young, got into drugs, got a girl preggo then she left him and he is paying child support and alimony for at least 20 years.
I think our experiences in life are negative or positive depending on how we frame them in our minds. I can’t change the family and religion I was born into nor the fact that it took half my life for circumstances to allow for my mental freedom. I can change my attitude though. I learned an honest work ethic from growing up in “the truth”. I also learned how to give a decent presentation at a business meeting from the ministry and the TMS. It’s all crap, just a different pile.

We’ve had the zoom for a solid 9 months now. I’ve noticed more and more are just zooming out as time goes on. Mrs Hoser is good at multitasking and does the laundry during the meeting. That wouldn’t fly if the camera was on and the mic not muted.
