in other words do you agree with the atheists and the watchtower society or is there eternal ongoing conscious punishment awaiting the wicked.

Do some serious historical research on the origins of "hell". The Jews adopted the belief of the afterlife after being conquered by the Greeks. The church did not adopt the teaching of hellfire until some 500 years after its creation.
Hell, or at least the concept of it is an instrument of social control to make the rich, richer and the poor, poorer.

the basic idea is, hey you teenagers, you ought to be pioneers, wt construction workers, and/or bethelites.. i tried to put myself back in time an embarrassing number of decades…if i were in this talk’s target audience, how would i respond?.
Sanderson et al are only interested in the free labour. Bethel is like working in a 19th century coal mine.

Is non existence really punishment if you don’t have to look at sister holier than though and her condescending elder husband ever again? Like never. I see it as a relief!
i look at tv and the media as all fiction.. i wonder if the media is now just a tool to cauterise the brain and zombify us?

Have any of them ever had their power cut off, house foreclosed on or not been able to pay their medical bills?
Have they ever had to work two jobs to make ends meet?
Have any of them ever had to drive an uninsured car to work until next payday so they can have the money to pay for their plates?
Have they ever had to choose between paying the rent or buying groceries?
when a bank fails, it is legal for that lending institution to perform a "bail-in" (rather than a bailout) for itself.. .
the first sign or signal to the depositor is a red flag moment easy to recognize.

In Canada it was about goods and services tax (GST). They didn’t want to register or pay it. They could have sold as an all in price and kept it simple for the publishers. They had captive sales. The publishers paid for the magazines whether they placed them with householders or not.
The watchtower organization has “the government is out to get us” arrogant attitude. They could have just collected and remitted the gst and kept the revenue stream from selling literature to the publishers. It was also a win for the publishers as they could count as placements all of the magazines they purchased even if some ended up being given for free.

The watchtower could go back to what they did before. Charge for literature, pay the taxes to the government like the bible tells them to. Somehow they felt that they didn’t have to follow the law and ended up giving the literature away for free hoping that people would (lol) donate for it.
