by GabeAthouse inwhere your mental image of a place does not match up with where you intellectually know it actually is?
1. great britain: i always picture it to the west of france.
if i'm reading about the norman invasion or d-day i always see it in my head as crossing the channel east-west / west-east.

Canada’s closest neighbor is the US. Next closest is Denmark followed by France.

was presented by a helper to the publishing committee.

I think the “drama” was in Australia because of the accents and the left hand drive cars.
Hayley was using social media to sell home made jewellery and maybe makeup products.

Watching the dramatization of Haley, the middle aged Karen and the younger pioneer sister that confronted Haley about the boastful Snapchat post reaffirmed my belief that pioneers and elders lead pathetic lives. -

They could “nudge” the members by charging a subscription for zoom.

I can’t seem to find the letter but I thought that when they announced going back to meetings at memorial time we weren’t supposed to criticize those who decide to stay watching on zoom.
Edit:
I found the letter from March 12/22 and it stated
”personal choices regarding vaccination and whether to attend in person should be respected”

However, it has been observed that some have developed a tendency to attend meetings on a videoconference when, according to their circumstances, they could be physically at the Kingdom Hall.
How do the elders know your circumstances? They have been trained to decide what you can and cannot personally do based on external factors.
Where I live personal medical information is private. That is the law. If a person has a compromised immune system or an anxiety disorder perhaps caused by the convid lockdowns and fear mongering how would the elders know that? I certainly am under no obligation to tell them.

Do you think the Watchtower is right about about eternal punishment of the wicked?
by Vanderhoven7 inatheists believe death is the end of personal existence.
but for those who believe there is life after death, what do you think is the nature of final punishment?
in other words do you agree with the atheists and the watchtower society or is there eternal ongoing conscious punishment awaiting the wicked.

truth_b_known:
Do some serious historical research on the origins of "hell". The Jews adopted the belief of the afterlife after being conquered by the Greeks. The church did not adopt the teaching of hellfire until some 500 years after its creation.
Hell, or at least the concept of it is an instrument of social control to make the rich, richer and the poor, poorer.

Sanderson’s “Young People” convention talk
by FFGhost inso did anyone else have the misfortune of listening to sanderson’s talk corresponding to the saturday morning convention program?.
full title is “young people - choose a path that leads to peace!”.
the basic idea is, hey you teenagers, you ought to be pioneers, wt construction workers, and/or bethelites.. i tried to put myself back in time an embarrassing number of decades…if i were in this talk’s target audience, how would i respond?.

Sanderson et al are only interested in the free labour. Bethel is like working in a 19th century coal mine.
