If your Kingdom Hall is being renovated for no apparent reason, be very afraid.
They’re not renovating it for your congregation, they’re renovating so it can be listed.

Investment departments in Bethel
by Mikejw ini was a bethelite in london for many years then got reassigned to the field and then went on brd from the start of chelmsford right upto covid.. during my years at the branch i was sometimes asked to be on a team who went to homes donated to the branch when some older one died.. this happenes an awful lot, everything is left to the branch in the will.
the unbelieving family is furious they didn’t get left anything and sometimes they tried to get their elderly relatives possessions and there was a legal battle .
but in the end a team of us would go and empty the property and another team would clean it up and put it on the market to sell it for the worldwide work.. all the possessions were sorted into trash or possibly valuable .

They will criticize you for working to have a home, jewelry and investments but will gladly take them from your heirs when you pass away.

Elders won't tell you who have falsely accused you
by enoughisenough inhaving been a victim of this practice twice, i thought i would see if others had the same experience.
on one occassion, i was before the elders being told i was drunk on a certain day at a certain time.
( this was only brought up because when i was pushing for a meeting because of elder mr x adultery , i was threatened somethings would be brought out about me if i persued the meeting.

no children no money no home.
it is so sad.. so many decided not to have children as the end was right around the corner and that was decades ago.

I’ve lost my patience for those types. I’ve got some relatives that will probably be in that situation in the next 10 years or so. It’s sad to say but once you’re past 65 the best earning years are behind you unless you own a business or are in management of some kind.

In Canada you can collect if you haven’t worked much. In fact you can do better than some who saved but didn’t save enough. A few years ago someone figured out that if you have $300,000 in your rrsp at retirement you would have been better off by saving nothing.
The government likes clawing back benefits from people they consider high earners. When you withdraw your rrsp it is considered income and you don’t qualify for some benefits.
When you finally go to a nursing home if you have money they charge you $4000 per month . If you don’t have money they charge about 1000 per month.

The worst kind are the ones that ridicule me for working so darn hard.
What really ticks me off about many jws is how they like to waste my time, literally. Tasks that could be carried out in a short timeframe, say an hour or so seem to get dragged out so it takes up my entire Saturday
