My observations of publishers and pioneers that join foreign or special language groups is that their desire to help that group of people is secondary to their desire to use that “privilege” as a means to gain a greater social standing in the Jehovah’s Witness community.

"Recruiting the Deaf" a new "Freeminds" article by Barb Anderson
by Dogpatch inthe worldwide recruiting attempt of jehovah’s witnesses to bring their religious message to the deaf using sign language can be viewed as something of a mixed bag.
while they strive to communicate it using the right methods, they convey an illusionary message that is detrimental in countless ways.[1].
jehovah’s witnesses international “deaf ministry” as directed by the watch tower bible and tract society, inc., is no small feat because there are over 200 distinct sign languages in the world.

Would I be disfellowshiped for this?
by ExBethelitenowPIMA inif a publisher openly told the elders that they thought the gb were wrong about some or a lot of things, but said they will not share these thoughts with anyone else then would this be a case of disassociation disgfellowship?.
my guess is lots of elders meetings and shepherding calls to try to get you to say something they could use against you.. but what would be the sin in which you are not repented?.
the only reason to be dissed is non repentance?.

Bible Dramas - they really have no idea
by eyeslice init seems the watchtower are ploughing ahead with bigger and better film studios but come on, they really have no idea.. how come all the people in times past look like healthy, middle class americans/ europeans/australians in costume?
get real.
even a visit to rural india today would give a hint of how people probably lived back then.

In the modern day jw videos every publisher lives in a million dollar home, drives a 100k car all on window washer pay while the wife is a regular pioneer.

Cost of living crisis
by ExBethelitenowPIMA induring the height of the pandemic all elders had to report to the co anyone who was struggling with bills or who couldn’t pay the rent.
the co reported it to the branch.. i don’t know what happens next.
do the branch help at all?

I don’t think the elders in our congregation give a rats ass about poor people. They are too busy going on vacation, playing sports, moving to more prestigious neighborhoods, riding their expensive motorcycles AND telling me I’m not spiritual enough to give a shit about some single mother that can’t afford milk for her kids.

Elder asks my disfellowshipped cousin to leave house while grieving for his grandmother
by RULES & REGULATIONS infourteen years ago i started a thread on how horrible my disfellowshipped cousin was treated after his mom passed away and the terrible actions on the part of the elders at the funeral home.. 67. horrible conduct by congregation elders at my cousin's funeral.............. well, here we are 14 years later, and things haven't changed!.
my aunt ( who is my disfellowshipped cousin's grandmother ) was placed in home hospice care.
the nurse told her daughters ( who are jehovah's witnesses and live with their mother ) that their mom probably has 2 days left to live and that they should call the immediate family.. my disfellowshipped cousin and his sister show up in the early morning.

The elders here don’t seem to give a shit about the congregants monetary situation.
As a business owner we from time to time get gift cards from some of our vendors and customers at Christmas time and other times of the year. We are doing good enough that we don’t need them and pass the generosity of our clients on to others.
I offered to give the gift cards valued at several hundred dollars for gas, groceries and I think a few prepaid visas to the elders to distribute anonymously to needy members of the congregation. I don’t need to know who is in need and they don’t need to know who the giver is.
The elders said the congregation doesn’t do that and by the way your field service report for last month is late.

How many still getting boosters?
by ExBethelitenowPIMA ineither you think the governing body was correct giving direction to be fully vaccinated and do you will keep getting the boosters, or.... if you don’t think the boosters are safe and you decide not to keep getting them then you are admitting that the direction was wrong.. if the direction was indeed harming brothers and sister who kept going to get these injections because of the covid updates then this is a huge wake up call?.
how could this direction from the gb who are i doubt jehovah give such harmful direction?.

Are any of the governing body members medical professionals that are qualified to give medical advice?
What about privacy laws? Does the congregation keep your medical history private as required by secular law?
