It was nothing to do with border crossing and more to do with keeping your job. Companies were being forced by law to fire their un vaxxed employees.

Customers being frozen out of their bank accounts for political views is a very worrying trend ...
by LoveUniHateExams inyeah, so i know nigel farage is a bit of an abrasive twat.. he no doubt holds views that other people disagree with.. but that doesn't mean his bank can just tell him to sod off and freeze his accounts.. such a thing might go on in commie china or authoritarian russia.
no doubt hitler closed lots of jewish people's accounts in nazi germany, too.. but the fact that it is happening here, in the yew-kay, is pretty chilling when you consider this country is supposed to champion freedoms, including the one to hold and express varying political views.. this seems to be part of a trend to delegitimise and cancel people who hold certain views.. i remember looking at a yt video of richard dawkins questioning muslim journalist mehdi hassan about his belief in flying horses and muhammad.
all fair analysis and criticism by dawkins until he suggested that hassan shouldn't be a journalist because of his beliefs.

The trucker rally saved me a lot of hassle in my business. A lot of the regulations they were proposing. I would have been forced to fire one of my employees that refused the vax. The truckers stopped that law from happening.
My body my choice is my motto. There’s only two of us at work and I’m vaxxed so his lack of the shots don’t affect me in the slightest as I can’t catch it as I’m immune now.

Unfortunately it looks like many countries are heading to a social credit score to control the populace. The bad part of it is that the truly productive people are the ones being stifled. The non innovative followers will be favoured under such a system
The trucker protests in Ottawa last year revealed the lack of freedom in Canada. It also cemented the working class/entitled class division.
In Canada you can trespass on a railroad track for weeks protesting for native rights with no consequence. You can block the inner harbour in Vancouver so ships can’t pick up oil with no consequence. You can vandalize work camps on gas pipelines in the name of the environment with no consequence. But don’t donate to a trucker protesting a vaccine mandate or your bank account will be frozen.
I think the part that really bothered Justin and his cohorts was how organized, resilient and united the lower caste working class can be. Truck drivers could shut this country down within a week. I think the government got good and scared and had to use a big stick in the form of bank account seizures to keep everyone in line.
The next step from the government is to eliminate cash as legal tender, outlaw crypto currency and ban private ownership of gold and silver.
Then they will own you!

The current system is sustainable but only with massive income taxes, inflation or high interest rates.
cbdc will offer the government more control over how you spend your money. That’s what they want. If you aren’t a good little Johnny they can cut you off with the flick of a switch.
The government can control your movements by only allowing you to buy a limited amount of fuel.

Watchtower And Taxes

Interestingly, the latest study edition of the watchtower has an article about the scriptural reason to “pay your taxes”.
Only for us suckers in the peon class though. The leadership doesn’t pay taxes.

Reddit post about elder asking congregation for money to fix his car!
by LongHairGal inyes, there’s a post on reddit.
it says that after a zoom meeting a request was made to baptized publishers to give $20 apiece to fix this elder’s car.. while this sounds highly irregular to me and not necessarily approved by the religion, i am not at all surprised at the nerve.
this, unfortunately, seems to be the direction that things are going there!

By enabling “needy” members of the congregation the begging problem never goes away

Today's WT Study: "By This All Will Know That You Are My Disciples". Hmmmm. . . . . . . .🤨
by HiddlesWife inone of my close pimo relatives showed me the article and spoke about today's study.
she was disturbed concerning the points/statements within it, such as: "so, the more we get to know those in the congregation, the more likely we are to see more of their flaws.
sadly, some have allowed the imperfections of others to stumble them.

A certain % of the population are just assholes. I think this is concentrated to a higher level in the jw cult.
The advice about shutting up about being treated like shit is good advice IMO. You can’t win against these types of people. Assholes will be assholes and they usually move up in the organization.
The best you can do is learn to recognize abusive types early on in the relationship and avoid them to the best of your ability.
Be as passive aggressive as you can with these kinds of pricks and ghost them when they try to contact you.

A luncheon with ultra PIMI, elderly relatives
by joe134cd ini had a luncheon yesterday with and aunt and cousin.
the only reason i went, and endured it, was because my father who can’t drive wanted to see them.
as i sat there eating the lunch at the restaurant, i couldn’t help think how totally oblivious they are to what’s going on, in an ever expanding organisation of the happiest people on earth.

The apathy will have a debilitating effect on the pimi demographic in the congregation. Keep up the good work slackers!

What`s the reason some of you think JW`s are in decline ?
by smiddy3 infrom what i can see no such thing is happening.i became a jw in 1960 and remained for about 30 years and the numbers of active jw`s today in the world are far greater than they were back then.. and here in australia the numbers are much higher than they were back then .. so i don`t see that their in decline or have any worries about losing support .. don`t the numbers speak for themselves ?.
is it just wishful thinking on your part ?.

My old congregation is being shuttered
by RULES & REGULATIONS ini just found out from my jehovah's witness cousin that my old congregation is being shuttered due to lack of elders, less than 20 members attending, and that the congregation cannot meet their monthly expenses.. here is a congregation that was started in 1975 with less than 15 members.
it grew to 185 members in the 1990's.
the congregation grew so large that the elders decided to split the congregation in two.

They are closing congregations in our circuit as well. There are now 15 congregations where 20 years ago there were 24.
It’s the old people dying off and the young ones moving to the big city and fading.
