  It's all about appearances

  so far i've managed to keep service time to a minimum and i don't put my hand up to comment at the meetings and already certain ones are distancing themselves or not talking to me at all, i have to laugh!.

  i wonder if they think i've commited a serious sin well sorry to burst their bubble i haven't, well not yet anyway lol.. i find it funny everything is measured on what they see, but yet i have too but my faith in 8 guys who i don't know or have never met, too stand a chance of everlasting life.. there was a part in the watchtower this afternoon saying we should be thankful we are 1 in 1000 of people in the world who have accurate knowledge, give me a break..

  It's all a social group. Those who have money are excused for not getting enough time in.

  in one congregation there a 2 elders who are filthy rich. Both pioneers but they always seem to be gone on vacation

  The first time they had one of these meetings (3 years ago) I couldn't believe the people lining up to put money in the contribution box. It must be a viable business model or they wouldn't be doing it.

  How, exactly, does Watchtower's literature publishing bring them money?

  i've heard is said many times that watchtower is a publishing company bringing in money from the proliferation of its literature.

  how exactly does this process work?

  i know that jws are encouraged to tell the householders of the donation arrangement to support the worldwide work.

  It doesn't make them money. That is why they are pushing digital. Their problem is that it took them 25 years to figure it out.

  As far as I know this levy is on an annual basis. I assume they get a fleet discount and they usually sell these back to individual publishers. As new vehicles maintenance costs are low and each congregation pays the fuel costs at the end of the co visit

  6 branches subsidize the rest of the branches.

  i went to the meeting this morning and we had some guy from overseas bethel give the public talk.

  6 countries subsidize the rest.

  he said in some countries all the donations that they get from contributions don't even pay the electricity bill for the branch buildings so money has to come in from these 6 richer countries.

  Why are so many Elders and Elders deleted so angry at the Flock?

  has anyone else experienced the wrath of elders and ex-elders on innocent rank-and-file dubs?

  what are these power hungry men and their wives so mad about?

  where is the love we were promised when those witnesses spent hours indoctrinating us about the spiritual paradise of witnesses we would be joining?

  Some elders and/or their wives are bonified control freaks. They want to dictate every small detail of your life and if you deviate even in the slightest they go ballistic.

  Its happened to me and to my family with devastating results.
