I feel for guys that marry someone who needs a prominent man. It is almost impossible to keep a woman like that happy.

I am amazed at the social pressure to conform that is evident in this movie. I thought it was just a local thing but I see now that parents and busybodies al though out this religion like to meddle in other peoples lives.
The girl Megan feels pressured by the congregation to have a spiritual man so in turn she nags her hardworking husband to "reach out" for baptism. I've personally witnessed marriages ruined by this kind of abuse.
The good jw girl still living at home at 25 finds her nerdy jw elder at a jw function and lives happily ever after.

How much sediment would have been moved in Noah's flood?
by Zoos ini flew over this crate yesterday on my return home from las vegas.. .
they say this crater was created by an asteroid about 50,000 years ago.
then about 6000 years ago, presumably, god wiped out all life on earth with a global flood.. how much sediment would have been moved around during that flood.

Good question. I came up with 3 possibilities.
1. The crater isn't as old as they say it is.
2. The global flood isnt as recent as creationists believe it is.
3. The flood was an embellished localized event and the water never reached northern Arizona.

More Young Indoctrination
by freemindfade innot sure how wide spread this is, but from my social media land i saw 2 separate videos, from two halls in completely different towns featuring their kids having a demonstration on the service meeting (i am guessing last night as i didn't go).
these kids are really young!
maybe this was just a coincidence at first i thought it was the same video then realized theses people live hundreds of miles apart.

There was a video shown loosely based on scripture It was a pixaresque cartoon showing how Sophia was scared to preach to her classmate. It went into a bunch of made up stuff about how the Israelite girl was afraid to talk to naaman about how the prophet in Israel could cure him of his leprosy. -

New video telling the R&F to be generous
by Splash inbro sanderson has a 7 minute video up on their streaming website called "be willing to open your hand".. in it he tells us not to be "tight fisted" or "stingy" and later "regardless of how much we have or how little we have, we'll find something within our power to be able to do".
we have the responsibility to imitate jehovah's generosity.. there's a bit about giving to one another when we see the need, which is nice, then he drops in how 20 years ago the canada branch committee asked the bethel family for donations to the disaster relief fund, and promptly raised over $10,000.
i think that's pretty good going for those under a vow of poverty.. "the generous person will prosper" he says, then illustrates this using a made up story.
