  Our hall is asking for money...

  i guess the branch isn't happy with the amount being sent each month since we are way lower than our loan amount.

  we now have to another financial survey to see the max amount that can be given.

  it is "encouraged" for all to be in attendance and give much forethought and consideration to the amount you can donate each month.

  I'm glad I can see through the bs and am only a marginal member.

  I don't subsidize millionaires(billionaires). They don't need any more of my hard earned money so they can live in a mansion by the lake.

  Booklet exposing Trinity Brochure

  there was a booklet that exposed the errors, deceptions and misquotes in the trinity brochure.

  i think it was called something like "why should you believe 'should you believe the trinity'" or something like that lol.

  it went through the society's brochure page by page, quote by quote and gave full sources etc.. does anyone know if it's still available, preferably an online copy?.

  i went and listened to the circuit overseer talk last night.

  he started off by saying how many jws are in prisons in other countries and how we need to be prepared for when we are persecuted by the governments because it will happen "soon".

  near the end of the talk he got into how our own minds often imagine the very worst case scenario and that this isn't good.

  WTF? He started off the talk to get us to imagine the worst case then ended it by saying not to.

  I really should record this stuff it's unbelievable.

  The basic message is that if you marry someone that is not baptized your marriage will be miserable and fall apart but if you marry an elder/pioneer you will be happy and successful.

  raymond franz it seems had limited resources yet he was able to provide crisis of conscience in printed form to what?

  Just start printing it off the PDF files and selling it on line. If someone owns the rights they will come forward. Who are the legal heirs to Ray and Cynthia's estate? They would probably be the owners of his books. If there is no legal heir then the government owns the rights.

  This elder is just plain unqualified to deal with this situation. To ignore a suicidal person and not get the health care system involved?

  the problem in the Jehovah's Witness religion is the reward system. This elder is rewarded for counting his time knocking on doors of empty houses instead if really helping a distressed member of the congregation.

  The problem with reinstatement is that it is applied so inconsistently. We had a disfellowshipped sister in our hall for years. She was living a clean life and was married to the non jw she had lived with years before. A new co came to visit, had a five minute meeting with her in the back room and the next week she was reinstated.
