  Horley Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses UK (disbanded)

  does anyone in the uk know any details about the above congregation?

  it seems it was disbanded by the co specifically because of "lack of love" and members reassigned to other congregations in the reigate and crawley areas.. i've checked the charities commission web site and the charity was removed in may 2012.. http://apps.charitycommission.gov.uk/showcharity/registerofcharities/removedcharitymain.aspx?registeredcharitynumber=1066699&subsidiarynumber=0.

  I've heard of congregations being annulled because of a divisive spirit or causing divisions.

  It is easier for the circuit overseer to say that than to tell the truth that it wasn't a profitable unit so we closed it down.

  So let me get this straight. You can fiddle with kids and the elders won't include it in their letter of introduction to the next congregation but if you have consenting sex with another adult you will be either reproved or disfellowshipped and it will haunt you for the rest of your life.

  Shame, shame, shame they're playing the shame game. They will try to make you feel like a piece of shit in the hopes that you will conform.

  Mrs hoser and I have a problem with materialism Or so that's what I hear through the grapevine. Not one of the coward elders ever said anything direct to us about it but I did sit and listen to a public talk directed at us although he didn't mention names he described our business to a t.

  Then I was assigned a talk based on Matt 6 about keeping your eye simple. I looked up some non jw info and aced the talk and threw it right back in their face.

  Soon after I resigned from the school. That simplifies my life a lot.

  i would say that if god or jehovah or any other named or nameless god needs money then he/she/it is not much of a god.

  as a poor jw pioneer i scraped by as a way of life serving a god i could not know, see or sense in any way but i swallowed the biblical dogma and recalled that the birds of the air neither toiled nor sowed but were provided for.. so for goodness sake...why is the jw org so concerned with keeping, promoting or downright snatching as much money as they can from the sheep?.
