Appreciating a glass or two of fine scotch whisky would be a requirement I suppose.

How Do They Chose Someone To Be A Member Of The Illustrious Governing Body?
by Brokeback Watchtower ini'm mean were talking making someone a policy maker for the corporation that can have serious financial consequences.
i'm sure intelligence is not high on the priority list for this noble office being they hate higher education and consider it a waste of time.. i'm sure they would thoroughly know the party line as any self respecting mind control would never choose an original thinker.
i'm also sure a lot of ass kissing happens before one gets chosen as a ass wiping helper which seem to be a sort of initiation into governing body corporate politics and a sort of proving ground to show your determination protect the organization from the enemy be they what ever source.

Special Mercy Provided to Adulterous Husbands 'if' Elders
by HiddenPimo inso here is something else that helped me wake up -.
the elders manual - shepherd the flock of god contains a special caveat for elders who have committed adultery some time ago (not sure how many years, 'some time ago' is, but probably based on a complex formula of donations and # of assembly parts given.).
but basically, they can just get a talking to by 2 brothers and then they can keep on keeping on.

That woke me up too. Elders get a free pass. Everyone else gets a JC

Preparing the sheeple for finally abandoning the significance of 1914
by under the radar inwe all know the society would love to get rid of all the problems caused by clinging to 1914 and all they claimed it meant for the last 100+ years.. it looks like they are laying the groundwork for easing away from the whole concept of 1914. this would also let them do away with the ridiculous "overlapping generation" bullcrap.
what a diaper load that has been.... anyway, the following is from their super secret marching orders for april, 2019. draw your own conclusions.... "3.
“100 years of faithfulness”: the coordinator of the body of elders, or another elder, should be invited to read the following special announcement.

The credit card donation bit I definitely believe. It wouldn’t suprise me that they would ditch 1914. Look back 15 years and see the changes.
Nothing would surprise me at this point

Climate Change - True Believer or Skeptic?
by Simon inclimate change ... who doesn't believe it?
crazy fools and science deniers ... right?.
it seems like it's become the new religion, the new orthodoxy, that must be accepted and believed as gospel and preached to all.. is it ok to be skeptical?.

I think the climate is changing. It always has. Whether or not humans are responsible is up to debate in my opinion.
The province I live in has no sales tax. No government will ever put one in. But we have a revenue neutral carbon tax. It gives low income a rebate on the carbon tax. An income redistribution scheme.
The whole man made climate change religion is just a socialist agenda to take power and wealth away from productive people and countries and redistribute it to the have nots and will nots.

Fearmongering : The greatest ploy the Watchtower Society uses against its faithful members
by RULES & REGULATIONS in"shortly, within our twentieth century*, the "battle in the day of jehovah" will begin against the modern antitype of jerusalem, christendom.
" (the nations shall know that i am jehovah; 1971; 2nd ed.
fearmongering or scaremongering is the spreading of frightening and exaggerated rumors of impending danger or the habit or tactic of purposely and needlessly arousing public fear about an issue.

At the meeting yesterday we were all encouraged to watch the March broadcast especially Hot Dog Tony and his Armageddon rant. I came here instead. I love the commentary.
The GB are deluded to the point of being scary.

Speed Trap
by TerryWalstrom inspeed trap (1970).
i was driving back from a music gig in austin when i hit one of those sneaky highway speed traps.. back then the speed limit on the interstate was 55 mph.. well--suddenly for a quarter mile--it wasn't.. how do i know that?the patrolman who stopped me was kind enough to inform me...as he bid me follow him...to the local justice of the peace...to pay my $50 fine...or else i'd go to jail.. looking back on that episode in my life--i handled it with less wisdom than i now possess.for one thing, i was a bit insensitive.the justice was older than god's socks.
he may well have been animatronic (you know, like at disneyland).he was deafer than beethoven.. "your honor, there was no reduce speed sign posted along the hi---"he kept interrupting me to ask if i wanted to pay cash or personal check.my remedy was to talk louder.. "your honor, there was...etc".

I drove though Montana when the speed limit was “reasonable and prudent”

Unspeakable arrogance - As Usual
by Slidin Fast intoday's wt para 1. if you are a young person, you have likely received much advice about your future.
teachers, guidance counselors, or others may have encouraged you to pursue higher education and a lucrative career.
jehovah, however, advises you to take a different course.

Will the org ever be forced to do this?
by careful inhttps://www.toledoblade.com/news/world/2019/02/19/nuns-priests-vatican-city-apologize-inaction-cover-ups/stories/20190220019.
the catholic leaders acknowledge "that their family-like communities blinded them to sexual abuse and led to misplaced loyalties, denial, and cover-ups.".
will the gb ever have to do the same, or will they just keep demanding silence from their members who know the facts and keep buying the silence from victims through confidentiality agreements when settling lawsuits?.

If it comes to losing tax status they will claim persecution from Satan’s old system.

Question....Did Charles Russel Ever Finish High School?
by new boy ini saw john cedars show last night about when he visited the headquarters and this was mentioned.. this is the first i heard of this.

This thread reveals the social stigma our society places on people who lack formal education. IMO Russel was a successful entrepreneur in his religious book publishing and distribution business despite his lack of schooling.
