  i just finished looking through the circuit overseer manual, so here are some highlights.

  first up, regarding circuit assemblies:.

  if a brother is so extremely overweight that others would be distracted if he had a part on the program, good judgment would need to be used in deciding whether to give him an assignment.

  You could tell he was really uncomfortable giving the talk with no one to baptize. This was when i believed more than I do now.

  I think that they should cancel the talk if no one shows to be baptized.

  I was only ever at one baptism talk where there were no baptized. I felt sorry for the brother giving the talk.

  clinking of glasses

  hello all - long ago i posted under sosad..... cant get back under that name so hello again.

  i though i remember in hte last couple of years that there was a change in the strict practice of not clinking glasses and toasting,,, that it was more of a conscience decision.. was i dreaming this?

  any help towards printed information on this subject is very much appreciated..

  The Environmental Cult

  last night was the co's visit.

  prior to his part, an elder had a part on following theocratic direction.

  it was about our congregation being deleted (there are 2 sharing this hall) and the people and territory being divided up to the 4 other surrounding ones.. they say it is not about numbers but about making best use of resources.

  Lett is partially correct. There will be a need for new Kingdom Halls paid for by donations once the current halls are sold and the money is used up paying for pedophile lawsuits.

  I have been in 3 congregations that were dissolved and merged with others

  The sum of the parts always ends up to be less.

  People who travel distance to meetings find that it is easier to fade.

  so the organisation has developed a new software for the coordination of nearly everything!

  i just want point out a few things i notice about the new hub icon logo.

  the image contains twelve pillars with the 2 at the front being the prominent.

  Great! More micromanaging from the inept leaders.

  It’s all about control isn’t it.

  Our furnace quit in the dead of winter and even though we have qualified hvac brothers in our hall they had to wait for authorization from the LDC or whatever they call it now to fix the heat.

  What Is Trump Doing with China now and his supporters that smell like a Walmart?

  isn't trump shooting himself in the foot when he is on the verge of (or already in) a trade war with china?

  isn't walmart like 95% chinese stuff?.

  won't there be a backlash when many of his supporters that want to upgrade to indoor plumbing see how much it costs with all the tariffs?

  Trump has a legitimate 4 year contract to manage the US economy as he feels will bring the most benefit.

  If the voting public thinks he’s doing a great job he can get another four years.

  Trump is playing hardball but who knows, China might back down.
