Communism in the USSR ended up as a failure. Everyone was supposed to be equal but a caste system developed as it always does. The little people doing the grunt work got tired of supporting the elites and it all fell apart. If the JW paradise was to come true and everyone got to take the spoils of the dead who will maintain the material possessions. Who’s gonna fix the roof that leaks and till the ground.
I know jehovah is supposed to bless the ground but some of the jws I know are completely clueless when it comes to what it takes to survive. They are mentally lazy and don’t think past next weeks Christian life and ministry.
i have a few jw relatives who are true believers.
by this i mean, they believe with all their heart that 1914 was the beginning of the last days, that this is the last generation, that we are in the very last of the last hour of this system of things, and that you should obey the governing body even if it does not make sense.
all of them are in their 60s and up into their 90s there is nothing you can say or show them to convince them or even cause a small doubt that the wt is not god organization.
I think first generation jws are true believers. The ones like my parents that left behind the world and have 60 years of sunk costs in this religion. 2nd generation jws not so much believers and third gen it’s all they know.
i can’t remember the last time i stayed in on new year’s eve.
every year we went out and made this date a real party.

What I find disturbing is the encouragement from the organization to ultimately be lazy and steal from productive people.
People that work less in order to take advantage of government programs not intended for them are taking money from people who contribute to society. That’s how it works. It’s not government money, it’s taxpayer money. Somebody busted their ass and got taxed for it and a lazy Jehovah’s Witness took that guys money, ultimately their labour. Totally unethical, and for a religion to promote this behaviour is unacceptable.
Government programs are meant for those with disabilities or some other valid reason that they are unable to have a job so by encouraging publishers to be takers from society, Watchtower is taking funds from the most vulnerable of society.

Maybe the org is fudging the number of memorial partakers upwards. If all of the anointed were dead by now and no Armageddon they would have a serious problem on their hands. Watchtower didn’t write the song. Some jw musician wrote the song and signed over the rights to the watchtower religion. If I was that guy I’d be pissed.
evidently it would seem the wt sold the rights and will get royalties from "listen obey and be blessed.." this obviously is a trial balloon for what's to come.
