Unbelievable Assertion!!!!!!!

we had our special assembly day this weekend.. what the district overseer stated in his talk totally stunned me, and made me feel sick to my stomach.

he said, "christ is directing us through the governing body, and we cannot get holy spirit except through them!".

i do not wish to reveal all my thoughts on his statement, but i pray to god that it acts as a wake-up call to at least some of the audience.. suffice to say that the gb is now the mediator to our mediator, and from now on, i will have to pray for holy spirit through the name of the gb!!.

i was wondering (again) about what i got out of my deal with mormon god.

the more i thought about it the more i realised that the xian god asks way too much and offers too little.. what does xg demand:.

1 - obedience to changeable often arbitrary commandments normally with little clarification of when and when not to apply them.

It's quite the opposite, actually. WE ask too much of God. The only thing God asks of any human is to live up to their potential. To live up to their design. When that isn't happening we need to course correct and when it is we reap the benefits of life.

Candace Conti: WTS Notified Re Opening Appellate Brief

according to the docket, wts was notified that their opening brief has not been timely filed.

their appeal will be dismissed if there is no further activity by february 22, 2013.

I can't imagine them giving up $20 million or however the amount is now.

It's about much more than money. The second the appeal process is final all EXJW's will have serious ammunition to anti-witness with. People who previously settled out of court with the Watchtower could be described in the witness mind as profiteers with immoral intentions. Rick Simons and the Conti family's strategy has put the Watchtower in a catch 22 situation. If they appeal in court they'll have to defend the indefensible which will be documented and go straight on WatchtowerDocuments.com. Basically they are having to choose between being hung or shot. Figuratively of course. This will be a victory for a lot of people who have worked tirelessly for many decades.

IMO, Monotheism encompasses all of these:

Christian - associated with a denomination - there is One God who died on the cross for the sins of mankind
Christian - not associated with any denomination - there is One God who came to earth
Muslim - God is One Person whom transcends time and space
Eastern - Buddhist, Hindu, Shinto, etc - there is One Force that governs the universe
New Age, Pagan, Wiccan etc - our souls are one with God
Spiritual but not religious - personal belief - we are all connected
Deist - there was a creator but he is not involved - there is One Orginator
Gnostic - the Creator is imperfect or evil - there is only One God
Agnostic - there is no evidence for God
Atheist - I am God

Help!!!

i have come here for any advice and support that anyone can give and i really need it now.

i don't talk about these issues with my siblings anymore because they have already told me that they have no advice and can't help.

feelings of anxiety have been overwhelming me the lat 2 years and it makes me feel like a scared little child.

The only way to fight back is to prove their doctrines wrong Biblically. Learn and teach to your children the message of Christ contained in the Bible which is all about love and communion. You deserve just as much time as the Watchtower with your kids, if they get more time with them you will lose the battle.

The Watchtower makes you feel guilty that you are not doing what they say. This is what you must erode in your children. Get them to replace meetings with something fun, productive and with you alone where you can teach them the falseness of the Watchtower. I know you are tired, we all are, but the future is at stake.

Power Struggle At Head Quarters Reason For Governing Body New Light?

well could it be that we overlooked this little idea in our reasonings on why the governing body is comming up with new light they love the idea of?

you know to keep any type of rebellion at bay before it starts.. have you ever woundered what many that are closely associated with the governing body are feeling about these new guys called the governing body right now with all this new light loved by the governing body,,i smell trouble a brewing for these guys right there at headquarters i'm sure thier dealing with everbody they meet they reflect this same attitude so they got to be making enemies..

Yes, there is a power struggle in Brooklyn and has been for quite some time. The 23rd Hexagram speaks about what is happening:
