My wife and I just watched the series finale of DS9. We watched all 174 episodes and I gotta tell ya, it was a very enjoyable show. I never watched it when it was on TV and I am a big Star Trek fan. So far we have watched all of The Next Generation and now Deep Space Nine, has taken us about 3 years.

Im finally leaving my jw husband.
by littlebird insome of you know i have struggled with this for awhile.
i really do believe in marriage and the committment, however, sometimes enough is enough.. his endless preaching at me and calling me and my (adult) children satan has me realizing that this situation is not going to get better.
the other day he kicked my son out of the house for wearing a cap, in his car, with a skull on it.

Jeez, that's tough. Really tho, everyone on this board is pulling for you. Continue to use it for help and support. The JW's destructive mindset spreads across many mediums and I am very sorry that it has affected you in such a sacred and personal place as your marriage.
You will be ok, just take it one day at a time and look for real quality support where ever you can get it.

Why Are Jehovah's Witnesses Considered by Many to Be a Cult?
by Cold Steel inin a world thats growing increasingly profligate and vile, im concerned so much vitriol is aimed at churches like the jehovahs witnesses.
im not one, and i have theological differences with it; however other religions and former members of the religion seem to be unusually bitter and critical.
i admit to being unfamiliar with many of the social aspects of the church, but all churches have a hierarchal structure and its not unusual for many churches to also be dogmatic in relation to the scriptures.
