Mad, can you please explain your position on the WT society, detail it out. I think there is a lot of confusion in this forum as to where you actually stand.

When you realized that it was all a lie.. how did you cope?
by stuckinamovement ini realized about a year ago after much lurking here, that the truth was in fact a lie.
it rocked me to my core to come to the understanding that everything that i have been taught, believed in and taught people myself was in fact not true.
when you are a born in like myself, the teachings of the wts become all you know.

Sab - I love ya lots. But with all due respect, I do think the Watchtower Corp. higher ups knowingly lie to the rank and file.
Oh they definitely lie to the members, but I don't believe that they know their entire theology is full of sh*t. They are captives of a concept just like the rest of us were, them even more so because of the power and responsibility they weild.

First off, don't convince yourself you were lied to, that will help a little.
They people doing the "lying" are being lied to as well by people that are dead! So it's not like we were premeditatedly lied too and that is an encouraging thought.
That being said, time heals all and make sure you fully validate why you left otherwise you'll be stuck in limbo with no identity or direction and that truly is hell.

November Awake's I WAS RAISED AN ATHEIST" article
by I quit! inafter reading behemot's post on the article in the november awake i decided to do something i rarely ever do.
pick up a watchtower publication and thumb through it.
in the article a scientist frantisek vyskocil being interview by awake on how he came to his belief in god and became a jw.

"You are only looking at things 'critical' of the Watchtower"
by sabastious insomething jws say that to a lot to people who have left or are leaving the org.. i find it very a very ironic statement since the wt and awake, or any wt literature for that matter, is never critical of itself and never directly addresses refutation of their doctrine and predictions.... i was raised a witness, as many of you were.
i have been subjected to "one-side-of-the-coin" for almost 2 decades!
the only true way to bring balance to my information is to look at the other side of the coin and give it great consideration.... -sab.

^ Interesting approach.
They would undoubtedly respond with something like "I don't view things critical of the Watchtower." Which would be a very damning statement, of course they wouldn't realize it lol.

When will the crashing and burning of this organization begin?
by easyreader1970 inas i see it, there are three looming threats that all have the potential - individually or combined - to bring the wbts to its knees, at least in the united states, anyway.. 1. youth retention.
the young people aren't buying it.
the watchtower will argue that faithless young people are giving in to demonic persuasion and leaving the truth.

I think the whole thing is a house of cards
I agree, but those "base-cards" are heavily guarded by many mental tactics and redundancies. I'd say hell freezes over before they allow those cards to be removed from the house.
