No more JW window cleaners!
by shepherd ina window-cleaning robot that won a gold medal at the 2010 iena nuremberg international trade fair was launched in taiwan today.. the robot, named winbot, was invented by local inventor chao chih-mo and uses magnets that allow the device to be attached to both sides of windows up to 10 millimeters thick to clean both surfaces at the same time.
the invention is able to detect the cleaning area on its own using automatic navigation technology and infrared sensors, said the company.. .
the robot, which is priced at under nt$10,000 (us$330), can operate at least five times more quickly that human window cleaners.. that could put hundreds of thousands of jw's out of a job :d. .

I watched this series when I lived abroad. For anyone who doesnt know about it, its about a mormon man who decides to become a polygamist after years of being married to one woman. I loved this series. Its on SKY atlantic at 9.pm As I missed the first few programmes Im looking forward to watching it from the pilot show.
It does have a few similarities to JWs although a bit extreme

Present day, did you have one and why?
by equinox inas a mother of two young children when i came in the truth, i felt so guilty about no birthdays or christmases, i made up to them by present days.
i usually had one on my wedding anniversary in october and one at the start of the summer holidays.
i never really excepted the no birthday rule but went along with it ( put my reasoning head in the sand} and i always loved christmas.

I never really excepted the no birthday rule but went along with it ( put my reasoning head in the sand} and i always loved christmas. Our lives where at stake what could I do. But now I see it for what it, is a sham, a day when parents can give their children what is a loving and natural thing to do. Kids love anticipation, normal parents love giving to their children. Now im out I see Christmas in the best way.Idont buy into the comercialisom, but love the spirt of the time/ But now I am paying, as my grandchildren are indoctrinated with " Christmas is naughty", sermon from a 3 year old. Which by the way I used to be so proud from my kids but now feel sick when i hear my grandchildren spout....... to me. What goes around comes around, but what a hard price to pay !!!
