i know many catholics and other religion say and make water baptism a requiremenet to get saved and get your sins forgiven, but how does the society see water baptism?.
do they also baptized in three name or just only in jehovah name when baptizing a jw?.
is only the elders allowed to get baptized or anybody can get wet?.
Pledging an oath of loyalty to a religious organization seems like a sin, idol worship.
one year sober.
got bombed today.
really upset at myself.

Too bad it rains too much and is dark near 6 months out of a year. (aka forever night)
The heavy rain only applies to the southwest coastal areas, they are temperate rain forest. The rest of the state has weather similar to Minnesota , Montana, north & South Dakota.
The darkness for 6 months doesn't happen in Anchorage, mid-winter at it's worst we have sunrise at 9 AM and sunset at 3 pm. In the summer it doesn't get any darker then dusk between mid-night and 3 AM
Because of that I associate dark with winter and daylight with summer. It works well uphere. I makes me feel weird when I'm in a state like Florida or Hawaii and it's dark and warm outside.
I find it odd that the guy holding the highest office of this country is constantly put on par with a woman that currently holds no political office.
If Obongo was anything but a post turtle he'd be compared to his peers Carter, Clinton, AlGore, other Dems.
I agree the end is near for the WBATS
I have fear of heights, on many occasions my work requires that I'm 30 or 40 feet up the air on a ladder or scaffold. When I'm first faced with getting on the scaffold it's a intense internal battle forcing myself to ignore me distance to the ground. I become comfortable eventually and I'm able to function.
As for spiders I'm too amazed by them to be afraid, they are truly awesome. If I find one in the house I remove it to the back yard, with the hope that it will kill and eat the insect that had plans on bothering me.
A couple summers ago my grandson was visiting, he loves to squish spiders. He were trying to explain to him what spiders do for us and why we take them outside. We thought he understood. One day he spots a spider in the house and my wife convinces him to take it outside and let it go. He gets the spider to climb onto a paper towel and then he walks it outside. He returns a few moments later and my wife asks him how it went, He said he squished it. He said " I let is go, but it started to walk back to the house, so I had to squish him"
oh well

in the god delusion, dawkins contends that a supernatural creator almost certainly does not exist and that belief in a personal god qualifies as a delusion, which he defines as a persistent false belief held in the face of strong contradictory evidence.

I walked through the structure several years ago while on vacation is California, it is an interesting building. I wouldn't want to connected to a place like that.
I has the feel of the structure having more value then the people that assemble there

You are welcome Hopscotch
One detail I left out was I order to take the sunset pictures, I had to wait until 11:30 to mid-night for the goofy thing to go away.
I've taken pictures of the sunset while on Maui and the sun moves from touching the horizon to gone in a few moments.
The Midnight Sun isn't in to big of a hurry to go anywhere, it was from horizon to gone in maybe an hour or longer.
