Because if God looked forward and knew Adam would sin and then Adam chose not to, then God would be wrong. If God can't be wrong and he looked forward and saw Adam had sinned, then Adam would HAVE to sin in order for God to be correct (see Fate in the reasoning book)

While I understand your point, I don't think Sylvia does. You'd accomplish as much, and far more efficiently, if you just walked up to a brick wall took a lowball, filled it with Laphraig and smacked your forehead against , drank it and repeated it 8 or 9 times.

This is saying that everything that happens in the universe of the future is precisely predictable if you knew an initial universe state and knew the universal laws of physics perfectly.
So you're saying, for instance, I put a cat in a box with a vial of airborne poison and use some totally random method to break the vial, such that I would not know for certain if the vial had broken until i looked in the box....

Wrong about Adam choosing to sin. If God looks into the future and see that Adam chooses to sin and then Adam in fact doesn't choose to sin, God would be wrong.

Of course! The same as when we make advance preparations for our kids - just in case.

That wasn't the question. The question was would it still have been Adam's choice if God looked into the future and KNEW that Adam would sin. Since God is (supposedly) infallible and omniscient, in order to prove God right he would have had NO choice and would have had to sin to prove God right.
We make advance preparations for our kids not because we know something bad will happen but because we know there is a chance. Knowing there is a chance something will happen is not at all the same as knowing it WILL happen.
Now, you could say that the choice was Adam's right up until God looked into the future and saw the future, at which point Adam was locked onto the path that he would have decided on anyway, but that doesn't fly when you talk about things like the 10 plagues where God specifically hardened someone heart to do what God wanted them to do. That's rougly the equivalent of intentionally pissing off a child and then punishing them for gettin pissed off.

My point is that sinning was Adam's choosing - he could and then he could not - YHWH's omniscience notwithstanding.
He had all the faculties to just say "NO!!"

Would it still have been Adam's choice if God looked into the future and knew that he would? If it was still his choice and then Adam didn't sin after God looked into a future where Adam did sin, then God would be wrong.
That's a micro-example of the faultiness of the "God only knows what he chooses to know" argument. It sort of goes along with the "God maneuvers things to happen a certain way" or "God hardened their hearts" ideas. If God is maneuvering things or making people do things, or looks into the future and knows what "choice" they will make, do they really have a choice? If he knows which people will be good and which ones won't, why wait? why not just condemn them now or reward them now?

What do you mean "TIED" to the next generation? It's OVERLAP, dammit, OVERLAP, aren't you paying attention? A true Christian would only use the term "overlap". It's in the er...... Bible.
Does the word "tied" necessarily rule out the use of the word overlap? Using the example of a knot commonly known as a noose, even though the cords involved overlap, they are more commonlhy referred to as being "tied" together. So from this we can see that a reasoning person would understand that in this case, the words "tied" and "overlap" can be commonly used to mean the same thing.
