I admit, abject and utter failure.....

i tried, i thought i could make it work, it seemed so easy, but alas, in my project to turn a used $3 cigar box into a functional humidor i failed miserably.

i never could make the box airtight enough and allow enough air to circulate through to keep the cigars moist enough with a passive humidifier.

the humidity kept falling too low, i kept have to try to seal more edges of the box and eventually i started losing cigars.. i broke down today and bought a $40 humidor and in the space of just a few hours it is already keeping the cigars more moist and humid.. i failed.

The Cigar Thread!

sbc, outlaw and a few others have chatted me up about cigars, so i thought i would start a thread for us to discuss, made recommendations, talk about cigar related activies like golf, drinking, and smoking after a great meal.

this thread is for any interest in cigars, what kind you like, don't like, questions, answers, whatever.

anything related to cigars and not related to jws or religion is up for discussion.

I am so sad and afraid

not really, i just wanted to shout out that i am having an awesome weekend.

i spent friday night with the kids playing and watching a movie and grilling steaks, played golf with them on saturday, watched the ryder cup this morning, went for a run for about 45 minutes, then did 300 reps on the rowing machine, 5 sets on the biceps with dumbells, 4 sets of pushups, now i am watching football and studying the three interviews i have lined up next week and i am listening to black label society who, btw, i am going to see later this month.. that's right, black label society.

fuck yeah.

First time at the meeting after my DF

granted it's only been two weeks, but my oldest son had a talk tonight and i wanted to be there to support him.

couple of funny things.... - shunned as expected.

forgot to shave off my van dyke first though, and forgot to not dress in all black like johnny cash, black oxford, black pants, showes, socks, belt, blazer.

i shot an 83, seven under my previous best of 90. had two drives over 300 yards.

amazing what you can when you play sober and focus on the game for once!.
