Before, yes. He was forced to surrender them upon her arrival.
So pretty much the same as today.
it's amazing what you notice when you go through the bible again with a changed worldview.
this week's watchtower-assigned bible reading is the opening chapters of 1 samuel.

But - see: I thought that the whole garden of eden thing was completely made up by Jewish mystics writing about fantastic events?
*sigh*....But that's the BIBLE. Those fantastic events were from God lips straight to the parchment. Theother stuff was just made up. Fortunately, 2300 years later God had the wisdom to create a council to pick and choose which of the fantastic stories were true and which books to leave out, even though the books they did include sometimes are contradictory and reference the books they left out in some cases.
It all makes sense when you just realize "It's in the Bible and therefore true. I can prove the Bible is true by showing a scripture in the Bible that says the Bible is true. Even though the Bible you are holding didn't exist as a book then."

Yes. For the witch the Jews call Lilith.
She's not in the Bible and therefore completely made up by Jewish mystics writing about fanstatic events.
So, you're asking which came first, Adam's balls or Eve?
Clever :)
And of course it was Adam. He was a 40 year old virgin, he *might* have lasted 10 seconds.

Many people cannot accept a God of that kind of vengeful morality.
They knew what they were getting into when they asked to be created.
On a side note, did Adam have testicles before Eve came around? If so, why?

1 Corinthians 15:22 Everybody dies in Adam; everybody comes alive in Christ.
Who has Jesus brought back to life?
Oh, and Job 1:16 - "While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, "The fire of God fell from the sky and burned up the sheep and the servants, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!""
God challenges Satan on Job then God's fire kills random people to hurt Job.
I believe it's a guardian angel.
Matthew 18:10.
That scripture doesn't say anything about guardian angels.
the watchtower, may 1, 1975, said of a watchtower bible school of gilead graduation held on march 2, 1975: (italics added).
another speaker, f. w. franz, the society's vice- president, forcefully impressed on the audience the urgency of the christian preaching work.
he stressed that, according to dependable bible chronology, 6,000 years of human history will end this coming september according to the lunar calendar.
I had always wondered why prophecies are never stated in very clear terms.
I was out in service with a buddy of mine a few months ago (I still have to go sometimes, but i usually hop in a car with people that have a ton of return visits) and when someone at the door said bible prophecy was hard to understand, my buddy said that the big guy made it hard to understand so that people would have to work to understand to show their appreciation for it, if it was easy anyone could understand and then people would be lazy with it and not work for it.
Fortunately i was wearing sunglasses so no one could see my eyes rolling.
the "prophetic" books of the bible contain lots of wild imagery and vague predictions.
for example, daniel describes various periods of 1260, 1290, 1335, and 2300 days.
revelation contains discussions of a variety of wild beasts, trumpet blasts, etc.
What??? Next you will be telling me that that assembly in Ohio was NOT the fullfilment of the biblical trumpet blast?
Depends. Did they server mexican at that assembly?

They have an interpreation for every prophecy because otherwise, people might start thinking. Like MITM said, conformity is one reason. The other is that a spirit-directed organization can't not know. When they are clearly proven wrong or change their idea, it' just "new light".
As sd-7 posted yesterday, his BIL said that older prophecies, etc., that failed to come true were just ways of weeding out the unfaithful. Laughable, we all know.
Not having an answer leads to speculation by the R&F, something we can't have. Speculation from the platform by your CO, DO or Bethel speaker is fine and is to be taken almost as truth because the R&F will take that, beleive it and not speculate themselves.
Speculation leads to research which means using the iinternet which means finding material hasn't been washed clean by the blood of the lamb (WTBS approved). Can't have that, now can we?
last night, i went to my parents' house to wash clothes--or so i thought.
apparently, someone's been talking.
so...i get slammed for listening to people on the internet.
Go to hear the announcement and when they say it, stand up and give a giant Ric Flair "WHOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooo............!!!!!!!!!!!"
....and leave.
