So KFC at least took out the white bread, does this count for being healthy
Calorie wise, it's NOT that bad. but it's bad is so many other ways
i hate to exercise, therefore i haven't really ever done it, and stuck with it.
i've had 6 children, and am quite sedentary.
i get really bad migraines when my blood pressure rises, hence hating excercise.. .

And yet, Barry Bonds took HIS steroids... topically. Yep, through a "clear lotion." I ask you, dear NVL... did HE gain any weight? You BET he did.
Yes, and he used them WAY more than he was supposed to.And he was gaining muscle via working out, not fat weight.
Nothing else. And I walk, fairly regularly... but the weight has not come off.
Because you are not expending more calories than you are taking in. It's that simple.
I hope that helps "enlighten" you a little better... and perhaps even help you dial down your disdain just a tad.
Again, you just assume I didn't know that drugs can have side effects, at least you are consistent. And no, it won't. 99.999% of the time, lazy is the reason, not drugs, not a thyroid condition, not knee issues, not heart problem, not asthma ....

Ah, yes, the "reformed whore" syndrome. I must say, you DO wear it well, dear NVL (peace to you!).
Thanks! I do what I can. And actually, I'm not reformed, I still have every bad habit I always did, I just make sure they don't get out of control. There you go again thinking you know something about me when you don't :)
I have become distainful of arrogant pieces of shit that yap a lot and know almost nothing. I prefer to get my facts from reputable sources.
Are you disputing anything I said? Or are you just blathering on and on without actually making a point?
Just because you couldn't control your eating in the past don't assume that everyone is a fucking swine like you.
Oh, you assumed I was making an assumption! Wow, way to be a giant dumbass. Next time you try to tell someone to not eat shit, make sure you're not stuffing your face with it. And you sound fat.
i've never been one to believe in " ghosts " .
i'm open to the possibility that there may exist something in the afterlife or spirit world- i just don't know what it is.
having been out of the witnesses over 6 years i had my fill of being a jehovah's witness and being told how " scared " i should be of satan or the demons.
I was not attacking you, you replied to my post and now I am replying back.
Yeah you were. You said I was close-minded and probably still controlled by the borg. Don't try to weasel out of it.
Do you see how that works ?
Yeah, you say something dumb and when it you get your ass handed back to you because of it you try to weasel out of it.
No you probably don't as it seems that you are the one with all the answers.
I am glad you recognize that. However, rather than come to me for answers, you might try researching on your own. Five minutes and google can be a wonderful thing.
That's okay because I am laughing at you !
Ignorance is bliss, so they say. I am glad you are happy.

Agreed, but some people have such things as Ischeamic Heart diease, Arthritis, Angina, Asthma, Diabetes and as the first poster said Thyroid problems.
Yeah, some people. Some. Very very very few. A lot of those are secondary conditions brought on by "fat and lazy". Diabetes (adult onset, at least) is caused by fat lazy poor diet. I have asthma, a prescribed inhaler, everything. I ran a 5K last night with one section a half a mile uphill.
And 4 years ago I was 31 and almost 300 lbs. I have 100% become disdainful of people that use medical excuses or claim that they can't lose weight. Won't is more like it.

Obviously, diet and exercise are the real solutions, but it is very hard to get into, epecially if you have any medical conditions that restrict your mobility.
99% of the time the medical condition is "i'm fat and lazy".
Vodka and grapefruit?, never tried that, but it`s not as fattening as Beer, or my favourite Guinness, I think, although all alcohol is really empty calories. But whatever gets you through the day
Acohol is metabolized as sugar in the body, be it guiness (hey, I did have 5 of those at lunch yesterday) or vodka or scotch.

Wow thanks notverylikely. I didn't know what sort of headache I get, or what my thyroid health means. Thanks for clearing that up. Since it's not that complicated, I'm sure I'll just drop the pounds immediately.
Well, if you change your diet and start moving you will. You can easily lose 5 lbs in a month by walking a mile 3-4 times a week, dropping 1000 (basically 1 piece of cake or one meal from McD's) calories a week from your diet and drinking mostly water. A mile walk should burn around 120 calories for the average in shape person on level ground (usually you will get closer to 200), times 4/week that's 480 calories/week, minus the 1000 calories for a 1700 calorie total difference in your caloric intake. Times 4 weeks, you are looking 6800 calories just in that alone, or 2 lbs of fat. Add in the muscle you are building will burn mor calories and you can get to lbs of fat easy easy.

oh, the old low thyroid excuse again.
Fact, a low thyroid means that it's HARDER to lose weight, but your body won't magically put calories in your body.
You don't get migraines when you exercise, you get exertion headaches. different animal that wll go away as your body gets used to exercise.
Eat better, move more. It's not that complicated.
i was up in my mum's house the other night (she and my father are still active jws) and saw the june 2010 awake!.
as i browsed through it i came to watching the world.
as i read the article on the "baby mammoth" i noticed that there seemed to be some important information missing, as well as some good old watchtower selective quoting.. bear in mind that devout witnesses would never question the organisation or suspect that an article could be misleading them far less go and research the information to check it's authenticity.. the article mentions the age of the animal at time of death (3 to 4 months) and the fact that it was well preservedin the ice and that it's airways and digestive systems were clogged with silt.. right at the end of the article they say that the "scientists were lead to believe" the animal "must have drowned".
I don't know if they still teach this, but it was a pretty big deal with them in the 1960s. I distinctly remember them saying that there were fossils of animals and trees in Antartica, for example - and that the tropical pre-flood whole earth was the reason.
They do. However, they manage to pull that off without admitting that maybe those things are there because the continents move and millions of years ago Antarctica was in a more temperate zone while simultaneously saying the flood caused all the continents to move.
And "unofficially" they still teach that all the animals got to different places on the earth because of land bridges or something wacky, which would explain why kangaroos are ONLY in australia.

The JWs used to teach that the earth was tropical from pole to pole because of the "water canopy" before the flood.
Well why not? They've got such an awesome track record at explaining how to earth was created, how old it is, when it will end....surely climatology and meteorology is no problem for them.
