Based on Teel's JC thread why dont we all sue them?
by Lozhasleft inteel's thread re his jc and his lawyer's advice has made me think....why dont all of us disfellowshipped ones sue the org for defamation of character????.
imagine if we could find a lawyer who'd be prepared to start a suit against them on behalf of us all?.
any thoughts?.

Water cloud over the earth? Anyone remember this teaching?
by QuestioningEverything inhaving a discussion with my sister and she remembers that there used to be a teaching that the earth had a watercloud over it and that's how we got rain.
anyone else remember this?

If apologies are in order, please accept mine for not thinking things through before responding to your post. I immediately jumped to the conclusions brought up from my own experience, I shouldn't have done that and I apologize.
No worries and no apology necessary :)
I still think that cheating on someone is just awful and leaves a big mess behind for family involved on both sides of the marriage and if kids are in the middle then even worse.
It is. I wasn't in any way excusing myself. However, the marriage was already long over. In a sense, I got left for the WT.

This is not an occult science. This is not one of those crazy systems of divination and astrology. That stuff's hooey, and you've got to have a screw loose to go in for that sort of thing. Our beliefs are fairly commonplace and simple to understand. Humankind is simply materialized color operating on the 49th vibration. You would make that conclusion walking down the street or going to the store.

Ex is uber JW, kids like the social aspect and giving talks because of the attention, but don't care for serivice or meetings otherwise. They are 7 and 10
