But we also can't just 'poof' imagine something outside of our realm of existence/experience. If a spiritual world does not exist in some form or another, then I don't see how we could have conceived of it to begin with.
Tec, using that logic, God also CAN'T exist because otherwise people couldn't conceive of a universe where he doesn't. Aliens also MUST exist because we can conceive of them. And they must also NOT exist for the reason I state above about god. Mermaids, ditto. Sasquatch, ditto.

Reality is subjective to time, space and even between people.
Reality changes, that does not make it subjective.
My physical reality is based on my limitations or lack there of for example, is not someone else reality.
Your experience and knowledge are, for sure, as are mine. That doesn't make reality subjective, though, just experience and knowledge.

Spiritual and physical death are both spoken of in the bible - so it is not 'out there' to apply one where the other doesn't make sense.
Huh? Jesus, Paul and God were always clear when they meant one or the other. God maybe meant the Isrealites were the spiritually kill their enemies? Clearly not. Maybe they were supposed to metaphorically sprinkle the blood of sacrifices on the altar? Clearly not.
If everything was understood right, then why did Jesus have to come and find the lost sheep that the Pharisees and scribes and teachers were abusing?
Dear Tec, Jesus said the Pharisees and the behavior of the Jews was wrong, not that old scriptures were wrong. He never said that story was wrong. Conjecture and wishful thinking again, my dear. Jesus was very clear about what was wrong and he never mentioned that story.

It's not hard to consider, it's just that there is zero evidence for it and saying that's what he meant is wishful thinking. He spoke of the days of Noah and the flood as a literal event as well, remember.

I am NOT making this up. I was on a flight from CLT to DFW, the last flight of the night, took off at 9:30 I think, sitting in first class, flight was full and I had an empty seat next to me. People were still loading and I was hoping to keep the empty seat next to. As we are about to close the doors, a few more people get on and next to me site a 25 year old cutie with glasses. I was tired and was just going to have a drink and take a nap, but this girl is chatty. She starts talking to me, one drink turns into .... a lot of drinks.
She was cute, young, smart, talking to me, gave me her number and email address.... abot an hour before the flight lands, she mentions the moon landings being faked. I thought she was joking, but she was deadly serious. She then goes off onto the tri-lateral commission, the bankers that rule the world....
Wow. An hour of that. It went so wrong so fast.

So in the end, my so to say free will decision, was only a product of my upbringing, genetic disposition, influences from envrionment etc...just afterwards I claim, it was my free decsion, when it was not.
Sheesh. Not this shit again. Yes, you are the sum of your experiences, you can also choose to change or modify WHY you make decisions. Having the ability to use free will does not mean you use it all the time, or that making a decision based on experience ISN'T free will. People that make this type of argument seem to think that using experience to make a decision is somehow negating free will.

Oh, the pretty much the entire old testament is a...well, testament, i guess, to how utterly insane god is.

But when he spoke of life and death, it was usually (if not always) spiritual life and death.
Again, that was Jesus. He had a differet message. God spoke about, practiced, encouraged and apparently loved killing. The physical kind.

I also find it somewhat telling that Adam and Eve aren't written to seem even the slightest bit confused that they were still physically alive.
They clearly knew that god was lying. It's easy to figure that out when I can add in things that aren't there when it suits me, like "spiritual death" :)
