by munchausen inannounce was made this week that the assembly halls in london, ohio and indianapolis indiana will be sold and a new 3000 seat assembly hall will be built in southwest ohio.
the assembly hall in london ohio was built in the 70's and is in fine shape - nothing wrong with it.
the new one will cost around 8-9 million.

2tone, that's funny because one of my coworkers who lives by my old circuit assembly hall in Belleville, MI said she thought it was large and pretentious, and she was raised as a Catholic, so go figure.

I have only understood it in the JW sense when it is used as justification for ripping a JW family apart because one stops believing in the JW lie.

A witness charity benefit?
by NoRegrets inanyone here ever try to host a small benefit-type gathering for a witness in need?
my wife's aunt and uncle fell on hard times and someone decided to have a gathering where everyone brought a little food and then could give them a little money if wanted.
it was all pretty informal and unofficial but for some reason their son contacted the co to make sure it was okay to do something a little unconventional.

Family meeting tonight
by Dudu inmy family will meet tonight to talk about my mom's situation.
for the past ten years i have been the one who is always there for her and my other 4 sisters and my grown up nieces and nephews (they all work) has been playing the "i dont have enough card" all these years.
last year we moved to my sister's house and 2 months ago i moved by myself.

Just be honest with them. Tell them that you need help, that you can't handle this alone. Everyone needs to pitch in. Be specific about what you need help with. Some people, like my mom, need to be assigned specific tasks to do or else nothing will get done. Good luck.
