This made me awfully sad
by corpusdei injust came across this post, where a disfellowshipped blogger posted the letter from his witness mother in which she cuts off the relationship between them.
although i was the one to slam the door and cut off communication with my viper of a mother, my heart goes out to this guy - it's to their shame that the witnesses allow their religion to do this to family..

"Meekness", "Mildness," and "Humility"... Debunking the False Teachings...
by AGuest into the household of god, israel... and those who go with... may you all have peace!.
on occasion comments are made as to "christians" and their need to be meek, mild, humble, and things of that nature.
this is absolutely true; doing so demonstrates the "christ" in one; however, what some may believe is meekness, mildness, and humility is in error.

Shelby
Thank you for listening and being obedient to the Spirit in your post.
Recently, I have come to understand my misplaced humility, mildness and meekness.
I used to feel that since almighty God knows what I am going to say before I say it. That it
would not make any difference how I say it or with which emotions I use to speak to Him.
However, I now understand the importance of my behavior when approaching the
throne of the Almighty. I have much to work on.
Thank you, shelby (my dear sister)

The Master spoke to me this morning. . .
by Inkie inthis morning as i lay lying in bed i was listening to music on the radio station on my headset.
when i do this, i do this so as not to disturb the wife while she is sleeping.
only this morning, she had already risen and was downstairs getting ready to go to work and just about to walk out the door.

Thank you for your post Inkie
Praise Jah that you have heard the master and listened, even when it seemed a very little thing.
When I was having one of my last conversations with my dad ( when I was on my way out of the borg) I was standing on the walkway of his front yard (that day we were to have a conversation about what I was learning by reading and prayer w/o any JW literature) He cancelled our date. I took the iniative and drove to his house to have a conversation, my dad let me know I would not be allowed in the house. So, there I was on the walkway and him standing in the doorway. He replied to me that if Jehovah had new information that he wanted his people to know and he was sendindg someone other than using the FDS, he would have me stick my hand in my shirt like Moses and when I pulled it out I would have leprosy. Then he would heal it. I said " Dad, if I had leprosy and it was healed right in front of your eyes you would say that was evidence of the demons". He replied "I sure would". Without what he perceived to be a miracle he would not believe and with a miracle he would be convinced also not to believe.
When we talk to someone on a regular basis, we do not only talk about life threatening matters. Sometimes we share small seemingly unimportant sentences.
Dear Inkie, those who truly want to know and are asking will inquire and those who do not believe that our Master would speak to small human beings about small things, will believe what they choose to believe. Our Master does not just talk to us on a do or die condition. Sometimes we can only handle simple things at a particular time and he will accomadate rather than throw us away.
I Thank you for praising our Father and his Son and the Holy spirit by sharing what you were given.
A servant of Christ, DC

Moving On after being a JW
by man in black inafter leaving this religion has there been anything that you have done that is completely separate, or negative from their belief/control system.
yet from a worldy viewpoint you make a difference,,, a positive stamp in some aspect of everyday life ?.
for an example to get things started, one thing that i have done is trained my dog to help people in the hospital.

Regularly Visited a rehab facility for the disabled and infirm, all ages. The joy from this was amazing.
My family volunteered to feed people. Helped out at a Thanksgiving dinner and we served an elder and his wife. They did not say hi or thank you, possibly because they should not have been tere.
A very patient friend taught me how to use a computer and get on the internet.
Attended a Junior college. I dropped out of school because a worldly education was of no value. I was of the 1975 generation.
Graduated JC with honors and was elected commencement speaker.
Tutored college students in speech class ( Years of giving talks helped me become a very good speaker).
Attended a university. Stopped to start a coffee business that has expanded and is doing well.
I have been able to love my sons for who they are rather than for what the WTBS wanted them to be. In return we are very close.
All three of my sons have taken college classes.
I have helped many people in different ways that I would not of before, unless they would take magazines or a bible stuidy.
I have learned to be spiritual rather than religious.

Hello my dear sister SA
I thank you for the many times you have persisted in sharing what you hear regardless of the accusations of sanity you receive from many. You have played a major role as a servant of Jah in helping me to leave the wbts. I was one of the individuals involved in writing and signing our names to a couple of letters to the wtbs. What you say is true. Although many may choose not to believe, it is well worth it for the few who will. Many will try to justify your hearing with fleshly man made ideas and thoughts. Pay no attention to these ones for they are not seeking to hear the voice of our Master, nor are they seeking truth. If they were they would pray constantly and their prayers would be answered as yours, mine and countless others have. I have learned to hear our Masters voice although it is not my gift as it is yours.
Please do continue, those that are truly seeking will read what you are told to say by Jaheshua Meschajah and each will arrive at their own conclusion but not all will call you crazy.
To those who are seeking, continue seeking, asking and praying for ears to hear the spirit. And you too may be given our heavenly Father’s name along with his Son’s name. It seems each religion refers to God with their own name. How wonderful it is to hear the spirit reveal to you his true name.
With much love and affection
Your brother and fellow servant of Jah

How to do communion?
by matrixx ini was talking to a friend about the importance of doing communion.
that it is not simply the passing of the bread and the wine as an observer but the partaking of the emblems.
she asked, " how often do you do communion?

I was talking to a friend about the importance of doing communion. That it is not simply the passing of the bread and the wine as an observer but the partaking of the emblems. She asked, " How often do you do communion?" I replied " I try to daily." her question was "How is it possible to do communion at home?" If you do not have an Elder, Father, Pastor or some type of religious leader who will bless the drink and the bread?
It is simple, just about all of us have prayed before. It may be to give thanks for a meal. Or could be at a very distressful time in our lives when we do not know where else to turn. In times of emergency we may pray regardless of where we are. We do not always go to a church or a religious leader to intercede on our behalf to God. It is the same with communion. We can say a prayer to God , giving thanks to Him and asking Him to bless the drink and the bread. That the bread may represent Christ's body and the drink his blood.
Of course this is very basic. Whether you refer to Him as God, Father or Jehovah does not matter at this point. The important thing is just to start partaking. In time he will reveal to you more information. And as you become filled with spirit your spirit will bear witness with others when truth is spoken.
As a fellow servant of Christ
May peace be with all of you

Hello my dear sister Shelby.
It is always so joyous to see you continuing in the work of our lord.
For JW,s and EX JW,s partaking of the emblems can be a very difficult thing. Because the organization has created a fear in many that they are unworthy and that it is the wt organization that determines whether or not a person should partake. As you quoted Jaheshua Mischajah
1. "I am the bread that came down from heaven. He that eats my flesh and drinks my blood will live FOREVER... AND I will resurrect him on the last day..." and "Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood... YOU HAVE NO LIFE IN YOURSELVES..." and "For MY flesh is true food and MY blood true drink..." John 6:4-55
We can decide to listen to a religious organization or Jesus own words.
As for me and my household we have chosen to listen to the words of our true master rather than man.
We do communion regularly and rejoice that we are obeying the words of Jaheshua Mischajah over the words of a religion we are no longer part of.
May you have peace Shelby
