The Guardian UK ran the story on Monday, October 8th I believe. Within a day or so, WT had contacted the UN requesting disassociation from it. After a 9 year membership.

Sound fishy? Does it sound like WT was in a hurry to put a lid on this? If it was acceptable, why terminate their membership at all? They could still be a member today if it was justified. I admit, this site is slick in its arguments.

I rest my case.

yes folks, i heard it at the meeting this week...again.

the sm included a local needs part and this was the subject - family worship night.. apparently, regarding fwn, that time was never, nor now is, ours.

Regarding the time factor, I suggest reading Carl Oloff Johnson's book "sign of the last days". It proves that we are not living in the last days. It deconstructs Jesus' signs that he gave, and showed that all of them except earthquakes were MUCH MUCH MUCH worse hundreds of years ago. Earthquakes have remained virtually the same for hundreds of years. Neither, earthquakes, food shortages, pestilences or wars are WORSE now than previously. It's all a myth.

I'm coming to the conclusion...the WTBTS is a publishing cult (If its all about the bible why do we have all the books/tracts/magazines. etc)?

anyways, the video made a really good point about how the wtbts is not only a religious cult but a publishing cult.

the watchtower has released hundreds of books over the past 100 years.

All the literature is necessary. They have to keep people busy, and under destructive mind control. I quit reading it years before I actually "awakened".

Once I realized how greatly I had been fooled by WT, all other beliefs immediately were suspended in my mind, pending further investigation. Because I then knew how strongly one can know that something is right, when in reality it's complete bullsh**.

I like how she discusses how "Christianity" and the Jesus movement started. And how the temple destruction in 70 ce was a game changer for the future generations. Very interesting.

Just hearing the word "Kingdom Ministry School" makes me thrown up a little in my mouth. What a waste. I hated those things. I remember Sam Herd telling us that it's wrong to go to high school reunions, because we may re-ignite old flames with people of the opposite sex. He actually came out and said it was wrong and that we should't go. I wish I had a tape of that.
