with sadness we just heard that you have gone home.. this is a simple note of gratitude.. you were instrumental in my 80 year old mom leaving this organization after 37 years.
she is so thankful that she finally realized that this organization is a high control cult.
she is in a much better place and feels closer to "jehovah" god and jesus than she ever did as a witness.
The day I forgot about Raymond Franz will be the day they bury me in a cemetary. He has helped me to take control of my life back, and quit living in a fantasy world. It's a work in progress, but I will succeed.
Thank you Raymond Franz. You will never be forgotten. I will speak about the good things you have done for the rest of my life.

It's hard to believe I just discovered this board in 2010. I could have been free 10 years ago, and out living my life instead of slaving for Watchtower!

i just received word that ray franz passed away today at 1:37 pm eastern daylight time.
the cause of death is stated as head trauma, likely due to falling to the ground, and a stroke could have also been part of the cause or a result of the fall.
he died at emory university hospital in atlanta about 17 minutes after being taken off life support.
I listened to an audio recording last week and that was the first time I have ever heard Ray's actual voice. He was a great man and will be missed by many. He has changed my life forever!

do you know of anybody that saw something on a sign and did research and subsequently left the organization?.

I have only seen them on two occasions. One year, there were a half a dozen or so holding up signs at the entrance of the convention facility near the street. Then about two years ago, there were two ladies that entered the facility and I heard later they were putting "apostate literature" in the ladies room. The two ladies were dressed in jeans/tshirts, so they attracted a lot of attention immediately when they entered the facility.

even if that is the case, i would still like to know from all of you, how did you look at or think about other professed christians who are not jw's?
did you consider them to be inferior?
I just simply thought ALL other religions were headed to the slaughterhouse. The common JW belief.
