Since first hearing that song yesterday, I've now listened about a hundred times lol (ok, slight exaggeration)~

It sounds like a lullaby for peace and harmony...to help put to rest the anger and the differences~

It is good to know there are people on this earth that are like him~

So sad that another person for peace and human rights has passed on..

I wonder if he and John Lennon ever connected (something to look at)

i have just thought of a way to leave jehovah's witnesses using information from the new shepherd the flock of god book.

Now I feel bad about what I wrote. It was not meant as an attack on you, personally. Really what gets me fired up is that the religion does this over and over again to good people..it has people defending it at all costs. Those in the religion have so many messages thrown at them from the platform, from the literature...it's endless. And all of those messages prey upon people's soft hearts. The WT manipulates. I will say from my personal experience, I defended that "truth" will all my energy, as I believed with all my heart that it was the path to true peace and security. I wanted so bad for everyone to be loving and live forever...

But, in reality, the Jehovah's Witnesses do not have the market cornered on 'truth'. They are in the business of keeping a person wrapped up in 'serving Jehovah' ..so even the most honest-hearted person cannot see the forest through the trees.

I am not absolutely sure if he approves of what I am doing by posting here. I am sure that he doesn't want me to spend hours debating our beliefs with those who have already made up their minds to leave him and not believe he is the best ruler for individuals, for the earth and for the universe. But I try to live by the principle of James 4:17, even if my brothers and sisters don't always understand or agree with me. The Governing Body has also taught that organizational directives must be applied reasonably. They have also taught that Jesus once made an exception to Jehovah's direct command to him that he was only sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, when a higher principle, the principle of compassion, required it. So I think that the Governing Body might understand why I have written here what I have. I will be open to Jehovah's loving counsel if I have made a mistake in doing so.

It is interesting, you seem to want to be so loyal to your religion, so honest...yet, you take it upon yourself to assume that you are somehow an exception to the rules of the very religion you defend. I am not trying to throw daggers here, but it seems like you may be trying to prove something to yourself by being here? And that is great, maybe your beliefs will evolve as you mingle.

Some of what you wrote reminds me of my own father...and with a tone that says 'I am honest and true to the one and only true religion', but also with a voice that says 'help me, I know deep down I am gathering evidence that the religion is a big lie'...'give me time, in this quest for freedom'.

I miss my dad and I can't stop crying about it

so recently, i've had this urge to write to my father.

i couldn't quite pinpoint why i would try when i know he wouldn't read it and we aren't even that close.. over the years, before i left, my father and i could not relate to each other and we quit trying.

he was always so busy writting and preparing for talks.

Shattered ...

okay, i got back on the 'net partly so i could be back in touch with you folks, b/c i've been so isolated for the past while ,,, so here goes!.

i just got the news monday, and damn!!

my foot is a mess,,, bursitis .. yech, painful, and the doctors have been ignoring me/telling me i'm making it up for 18 mos.
