Fine, trujw, but you would never convince a JW of hypocrisy using this sketchy logic. By your definition, the IRS is also political. So filing a tax return would be political. But we have to pay back Caesar's things to Caesar. Mark 12:17. Jesus endorsed paying taxes. Therefore that must not have been what he meant when he said to be no part of the world. Also, Paul legally defended the good news (Phil 1:7). Therefore, filing lawsuits must also not have been what no part of the world means. See, we are not picking and choosing based on what suits us. All we are doing is following the Bible... A judge is no more political than the IRS, the trashman, the social security department, and all of the other parts of Caesar's world we have to deal with.. and so on and so forth.

Jw's and the third branch of government
by trujw ini have always wanted to ask a jw how many branches of government their are?
most likley they would be hard pressed to know that there are three.
then i would like to ask why is it ok to run and participate in one branch proudly ( the judicial) but have nothing to do with the other two.

by enigma1863 ini was curious, how many jws end up getting caught up in pyramid scemes like amway.
i was caught up in there online program quixstar for a little while several years ago.
i noticed there are several similarities between amway and a cult..

Since you asked, I know a lot more people who didn't make anything out of these businesses, and almost nobody who was successful. I have this one guy I went to high school with who is involved with an especially cult-like MLM, called Legal Shield. He posts shit on Facebook like 10 times a day saying how great it is. He's even inboxed me several times to get me to sign up as a marketer. What makes it especially cult-like is that he is always posting about associates who won their "gold $250k big earner ring" or double platinum jacket" or some other stupid shit like that. Anything that bases prestige on rings and jackets is suspect in my book. As least in the WTS you can get a title like elder or MTS grad or something. Whenever someone wishes him happy birthday or anything on FB, his response is always something like "Thanks, when can we meet for 20 minutes so I can show you the earning opportunity of a lifetime?" It's pathetic, really. Oh, and once in a while, he will put up some post like "If anyone needs handyman work done, I'm available. No job too small. Need the cash right now." lol

The WT has appealed to the Supreme Court on several occasions, which directly affects how laws are interpeted and carried out.
They would just say that Paul appealed to Caesar too.

Branch of government does not equal political. Are the people who collect your garbage political? They are ultimately put in their positions by politicians who are elected. Also, courts don't decide legislative bills or what becomes law. Congress and state legislatures do that. Judges decide how the laws apply to various sets of facts. In some states judges are elected, so you could say they are political there. But in other states and the federal government they are not elected, and not political. In fact, in the U.S., federal judges (as well as their law clerks) are not allowed to campaign for any person running for elected position. They can't even put a sign on their lawn saying to vote for someone. Because they are not allowed to be outwardly political.
Yes, JWs are big hypocrites, but I think you are barking up the wrong tree with this.

Melaleuca was another big one that a bunch of witnesses were involved in. Some local dunces did some kind of presentation to my parents but they ended up not getting involved, thankfully. Talk about a cult within a cult.

Because the judicial branch is (supposedly) not political. He wasn't a real judge anyway. Sober Joe was a substitute judge one time, for what would be the equivalent today of a municipal court that hears traffic tickets and shoplifting charges. Also it was before he became a Russellite.

Take away #2 (after I finished drying my tears): Your generous donations are hard at work flying WT heavy Gary Breaux (pronounced "Bro") in a chopper all along the New Jersey coast. You might protest that this helicopter ride is unnecessary, but that's where you would be wrong. He was using his new JW-detector 3400 goggles to detect JW houses to swoop down upon and repair. A lack of nearby landing pad is not a problem. As long as the next door neighbor is not a JW, the WTChopper1 is authorized to land on top of the debris of their houses. Unless it's a really nice one that can be rebuilt and appropriated for JW-use after the big A when its occupants are destroyed. You go Breaux!

Take away: If you have no valuable skill and would just rather do "keep it in the family" disaster relief than go out in field service, you too can be part of a 15 person human conveyor belt for carrying garbage 20 feet from the house to the garbage truck. Maybe the contractors will learn a thing or two from this operation.

Maisha: I'm not sure I understand what you are proposing? Are you suggesting Typosquatting?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typosquatting
That doesn't tend to work out too well. I don't understand what you are suggesting about the two letter domain name, also. New domains have to be three letters or more, but existing ones were grandfathered in:
aa.com (american airlines)
ge.com (GE)
db.com (Deutsche Bank)
un.org (United Nations)
And many more, I'm sure...
