It's a case that has nothing to do with the WTBTS. One of the parties has cited a previous case involving WTBTS in their legal arguments, which is probably what caused it to show up in the google search.

I don't agree with her attorney who says if it had been a boy and a girl no one would have paid attention to this. There are lots of 18 year old boys who have gotten into big trouble for having sex with 14/15 year old girls. It's kind of sympathetic, but you have to draw the line somewhere. My own view is if they are in the same high school together, it probably shouldn't be a felony for consensual sex. But wherever you draw the line, someone is going to get caught over it and complain the the law is too strict. If you make it 13, then the 18 year old who gets caught with someone who is 13 and 11 months is going to be the victim.

Ok EVERYONE- want to know who is going to be reading this website and others?
by Newly Enlightened inwhile everyone has been bickering back and forth, i decided to do something positive to move forward.
as most of you know back in jan our family marked us as apostates and started shunning us.. so i wrote to all of my congress-people and told them what is going on with the jw's.
i told them how they are breaking up families, teaching the children intolerance, etc.

TS is probably right to an extent, although if a member starts getting a lot of letters on the same topic or it's particularly compelling, the office might have a staff member look into it. It can't hurt to raise awareness, although I don't see how Congress could do anything about violent children's books.

Brainstorming about something that all of us would be interested in
by will-be-apostate ini started to feel this kind of devotion when someone comes to the conclusion that the ultimate goal of his life is to make this cult disappear from the history.. so, i`ve been thinking, how could we yes guys, we, ordinary people complete such kind of project.. why dont we make an organization against them?
we could maintain it from donations, maybe start printing our own magazines about how they are misguiding people.we definitely should sign up for google adwords to advertise anti-jw sites.we need to draw attention on the facts that we have luckily come to know.
these are some of what crossed my mind during the recent weeks.

If you are joking about suicide bombers, don't. It's not funny.
If you are serious, I hope you will consider talking to a mental health expert.
I know it's difficult when your life is adversely affected, but don't make it your life's goal to destroy the borg. That is something that is completely beyond your control. Make it your life's goal to better yourself in spite of obstacles and to help people. If that includes helping people exit or see TTATT, that's great.

Law Enforcement Knew Bombing Was Going To Happen?
by metatron inhttp://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/chambliss-law-enforcement-agency-may-have-known-ab/nxt7x/.
a us senator thinks a law enforcement agency (unnamed) may have known about the boston bombing before it happened.. a new hampshire state legislator has publically said that the bombing was a black ops setup.
this remark sparked immediate controversy and denial.. an ex-fbi employee is reported to have said that the two bombers were recruited and paid by the fbi (russia today).

I think your summary somewhat overstates what Sen. Chambliss said. He told the press that someone in law enforcement may have "dropped the ball" with some kind of intelligence, which is a far cry from a conspiracy theory about a "black ops setup" or the FBI causing the whole thing. If it's a conspiracy, how did they convince a 19 year old college kid to risk death or in the best case scenario, certain life in prison?

GATED COMMUNITIES IN PUERTO RICO: ACCESS CODES and REMOTES must be provided to the WATCHTOWER CORPORATION by APRIL 23, 2013...
by Calebs Airplane inthis case is in it's 9th year an has been touched upon briefly on and off.. the latest from the federal court is that all gated communites in puerto rico have until april 23 to provide the watchtower corporation full access.... this means the entry code or remote control devices that open the front fence.. this is clearly an act of provocation in order to create "pseudo-persecution" thereby increasing fs hours and "voluntary donations"....

I don't understand how the court came to the decision that a private homeowners association cannot bar access to non-residents.
Perhaps Caleb's Airplane can elaborate more, but evidently gated communities in Puerto Rico are different from what mainland Americans would picture as gated communities, and in fact are not just private homeowner's associations.
Rather than being private developments like a homeowners association that restrict access to private property, Puerto Rico allows neighborhoods to control access to the entire neighborhood, including public streets if the town votes for a plan of that type. Because they are approved by the local government, it's a public action and legally somewhat different than a gated community on private property. At least that's the basis for the court's decision.

All american courts are a sham
What's the point you are trying to make? The appeals court doesn't give a shit about JWs. There is no political or financial incentive for the decision. The most likely reason for the decision is that they are trying to apply the constitution to a difficult case. Why is it a sham just because they reached an arguably poor decision that you don't agree with?
