Instead of dwelling on the past and feeling poorly about being alone - learn to enjoy it. Learn to like spending time with your favorite person (you) and people will be naturally drawn to that. I am curious - if you know you burned bridges - and it obviously bothers you - why not start with the old friends and at the very least - if you can't patch it up - make amends. It might help you move forward into new friendships if you have a truly clean slate to start with.

straightened out but not going to be a liar
by helricha ini've straightened myself out concerning what i'm going to do about my life.
i am going to be reinstated (hopefully), just to get in and then fade away.
my problem is that i don't want to lie if i'm asked a direct question.

Yeah - I gotta agree with some of the other posters on this one - on the priority list of things to straighten out your marriage should be first, what the elders may or may not ask you can get pushed further down the list.

The worst word in the English language
by free2beme inwhile there are words that we should not teach children and not use in a polite public environment, known as bad language.
there is one word that gets passed around all the time and is probably the most hurtful and scary word out there.
that would is metastasis.

Yes - I've recently heard this word used in reference to my aunt. She's been battling a little over a year now, it's a rough road to be sure. My thoughts are with you and your family.

How is the Golden Compass?
Good so far -- I'm not usually much for the fantasy stuff - but I find I am quite enjoying it...I could be really dense, or just not far enough along in it but I am not getting the big athiest vibe the author and all the detractors of the book say there is.

ARE YOU into NaNoWriMo? Maybe you SHOULD be!!
by Terry inwhat is nanowrimo?.
national novel writing month is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing.
participants begin writing november 1. the goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, november 30.. valuing enthusiasm and perseverance over painstaking craft, nanowrimo is a novel-writing program for everyone who has thought fleetingly about writing a novel but has been scared away by the time and effort involved.. because of the limited writing window, the only thing that matters in nanowrimo is output.

I tried last year and failed horribly...lol...about one chapter done.
November is just not a great month for me - I know with the four day weekend it should be. Oh well excuses excuses I should just be writing right?
Maybe next year for me. :)
