  I know for sure Netflix has it -- and if you google it - the website of the film also sells copies...GREAT movie, I highly recommend it.

  Minoan snake goddess, moses with snake on staff

  i'm just curious.

  i'm taking a humanities course and one of the things that keeps coming up is the snake god/goddess.

  tonight i was reading about the minoan snake goddess and the healing powers that she was suppose to have and it brought up thoughts of moses and the snake around the staff that would cure the israelites if they looked at it.

  Interesting interpretation.

  Of course for me - the more logical one would be that the people who wrote the Bible were influenced by the culture around them and blending them thus a nice story that fits well with an old mythology of a snake godess -- if nothing a nod to the past. To me, that makes more sense.

  i really like the queen as my avatar, and i think it's cute when someone calls me queenie.

  and she has so many photos available to express any mood.

  but i have a new nickname now, twit #3, and i'd really like to create an avatar in that spirit, but don't have any ideas.

  My parents have used that on me - with my friends I grew up with..."She said she misses you so much"..."Did she ask for my phone number, or address?"..."no"..."oh"

  I don't think they get it. In my own case I have not been DF'd or DA'd -- so there really is no reason they couldn't give me a call.

  I wanted to test it out by spilling my beer and cleaning it up, but she said no.

  Once in a bar we did use a maxi pad to clean up the beer we spilled...it worked great....just sayin'

  My JW parents made my JW aunt and uncle their power of attorney - just in case.

  My sister was pissed. At first I was a little hurt. I like to think in that situation I would respect their wishes - as others have said, I want them to respect mine - I must be then willing to do the same...but then I was just thankful. I'm glad in the heat of the moment it's not something I even have to consider.
