  HI waterspout, I expect if I personally knew Shelby I would like her too, I'm drawn to kind & gentle people.

  It's the implications of her personal experience & what she said on this board that makes me uncomfortable. Anyone who makes a claim as hers must expect to be tested........I do not mean persecuted just tested as to the truth of what they are saying.

  She did get annoyed with me though didn't she.............

  Good talk with mum and dad

  she's 77 and both mum and dad have been witnesses for nearly 30 years.

  they've been pretty hardline in their time but just recently things have changed.

  today, to my joy, mum wanted to celebrate her birthday so i bought her a big bunch of flowers and a box of chocolates (yeah i know, not very imaginative) and intend to take them out to lunch tomorrow when i've got more time.

  This is absolutely amazing boyzone, my parents are very similar ages as your mum & dad, have been JW's for 50 years & feeling exactly the same disonance regarding the WT org.

  I'm printing this off as it wll be so encouraging to them............in fact my mother asked me today to see if there was anything to print off this website for them to read.

  Thank you for posting this, it just shows some long timers are starting to wake up to the fact they no longer recognise the WT org to be what it claims it is.

  the seats normaly arranged facing eachother all around the edge, so that theres a huge unused space in the middle and everyone is climbing over everyone elses legs to get to their chair.. a big spread donated by everyone, normaly an ode to food poisoning.

  I wonder what the marriage failure rate is within the WT Org among youngsters that marry under those circumstances, hightdose?

  Most of the people I grew up with that married young in the 'truth' have seperated, divorced & now with a different partner.

  The brides mother boasts the young couple have always had a chaperone, never been alone together, have done all things as to Jehovah..............

  Poor devils..........now their wed they get to REALLY know each other ........warts 'n all.

  They'll then be told...Well you made your bed now you have to lie in it!!
