  Good for you man! I predict that the amount of people that are attempting to record their JC meeting will bring about a policy change from the branch or at least a letter to the BOE regarding recordings of Jc's. Too bad there is not an online library of audio recordings of JC's.

  For a "legalized" process with investigations, charges, testimony, witnesses, and finally deliberation and sentencing they are blowing it when it comes to not allowing the proceedings to be recorded. Even secular courts have court reporters that produce a word for word transcript. Recording protects the accused as well as the accusers.

  Great work again. The brothers are racking their brains over everything they said. Maybe enough of this will allow a couple of them to see how unjust the process is.

  i never had to think about what a massive predicament it is to be watching your 6 month old alone and having a massive dump come along that you know is going to take 10-15 minutes...especially if your child is being really fussy.. -sab.

  It sounds as if it will be a throwback to the Spanish Inquisition. You are getting burned for what you believe

  If I were in your shoes, I would ask the brothers:

  "So you are going to disfellowship me, in essence take my family relationships away as well as my only friends away because I have doubts? There are many examples of faithful men in the scriptures who had sincere doubts at times. Jude mentions that the elders should snatch doubters out of the fire."

  There is a good article that the elders often use in JC meetings that is entitled something to the effect of "determining weakness or wickedness". Look it up and see if you can help them to see that there is a lack of wickedness. I would make the case that you are struggling with doubts and were turning to your father for spiritual help. best of luck.

  jw serving elders ... did any of you have to handle the part at the sm this week on why jehovah's witnesses are not a false prophet?.

  this part made me livid.

  our most corporate elder handled this part and i felt my self wanting to refute everything he said.

  It makes me crazy that the reasoning book ignores Deut. 18:20-22. The references stop at vs 19 in making the argument that Jw's are not False prophets. The context of that scripture clearly proves that JW's are false prophets. Cherry picking at its worst.

  i came to the belated realization that the way the org is structured is simply based on the classic 1950's corporate model.

  note the similarities.

  they are just another failing business.. board of directors- governing body.

  The thing that strikes me is how when you look at the operation from a strictly business standpoint (set aside the wrong teachings) it is being forced to change. The way of doing business that has worked in the past is no longer a viable solution. Most large corporations have had to retool operations and organizational structure in the past 20 years. WTS is well behind that curve. The last major organizational change was the elder arrangement in the 70's.

  One thing that I see is just how the growth was exponential in the past 60 years and now is slowing, the future decline in publishers/hours/bs will also be dramatically exponential. The internet has shed some light on the WTS and allowed future/current/and past witnesses to see the truth about the truth. There are a number of elders and c/o's as well as bethelites that realize it is a sham as is evidenced on this board. There is cancer within and the WTS does not realize it.

  Think about it. The more people that stop publishing, mean that there is a future convert production loss in that is not yet realized. This inevitable decline is going to be fun to watch.
