salem, ore. -- the oregon state medical examiner's office announced monday the death of 21-year-old whitney heichel was caused by multiple gunshot wounds.

heichel's body was found friday afternoon on larch mountain in east multnomah county.. .

This is tragic all the way around. I feel so bad for both families. Obviously Holt was a psychopath and deserves the death penalty. It is sad proof that there are creeps in all religions including the witnesses regardless of what they claim. It is a tragic waste of life and my heart hurts for Whitney's husband.

(I wonder though if the elders will have enough on Brother Holt to df him since there is not yet a confession or two witnesses?)

I said screw it and shared the new light with a loved one last night. The format I used was cedars blog and my iPad. This persons reaction was " now they are just pulling stuff out of their butt".

one question that I asked was, if the fds didn't exist until 1919 (which is based on 1914's supposed events), then how was the extremely important date of 1914 arrived at without the slaves involvement? That struck a chord, mand the response was "that's a great point! None of it makes sense."

Wow, its not a religion it's a developer.

Selling assets like this in a slump is usually indication of a cash crunch. Costs are up, donations are down, Legal costs have gone through the roof, this organization is much like a rich guy with cancer. Plenty of money now, but bills mounting and limited prospects for the future.

The Governing Body - their own worst enemy!

i've been giving some thought recently to what's going on in the minds of the individual governing body members, and what makes them tick.

the process of listening to their talks for my "getting to know you" youtube video series, though draining, has been very enlightening.

i now feel i know some of their individual personalities a little better than i did previously.. then there has been the tumultuous events of 2012. it's been interesting to note the way the governing body has responded to some of these issues, and how in most cases their responses have been woefully inadequate or even counter-productive as regards their long-term interests.. for example:.

Let's talk about the "elephant in the room".

I have noticed that apologists will almost always resort to similar ad hominem attacks, instead of tackling the issue.

Cedars you wrote a masterful article that is spot on. The GB is the perfect combination of a group of leaders that are not only arrogant but ignorant as well. This combination tends to be incredibly dangerous. The examples you mention are perfect examples of how they are self destructing. In the last year look at how many people have joined this site, or even how many people are missing from the meetings and service. No matter how the Branch cooks the books they are in decline. Anecdotal evidence shows that they are bleeding out in numbers of adherents as well as financially.

Elephant, the things that these men are doing are indefensible spiritually, legally, and morally. If they were representing God like they claim they wouldn't be directing attention to themselves and protecting pedophiles. They are false prophets who are responsible for destroying peoples lives. Their policies steal childhoods, break up families, kill people, and socially handicap their followers. All in the name of God. Try to defend that, and you act like a defense attorney for a war criminal.

We Need A Group Of Anointed To Challenge The Governing Body

i believe that a coup is one of the governing body's worst nightmares.. imagine a splinter group led by anointed ones that draw off enough of a following to cause confusion about who is directing the organization.. this may be one of the reasons the governing body removed the special status of the anointed and placed it on an organizational arrangement that they just happen to occupy.. the irony is that this action is a coup in itself.

by declaring themselves leaders in complete control of the organization, they have created a rival group composed of those who disagree.

these people have no obligation to follow these newly self appointed leaders.
