Why DO Horrible Things Happen, Anyway?
by Farkel inthe insane things that occur to people who just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time is scary and creepy to me.
a little girl is holding her teddy bear and as a coincidence is tragically on that same street when a bunch of gang-bangers decide to stage a gun fight because someone looked cross-eyed at one of their girl friends (you mamy insert any other bullshit reason here), so they start shooting and the little girl is shot and killed because she is innocently in their cross-fire.
when captured and arrested, the gang-bangers says they are "sorry" for snuffing out the life of that little girl.

Well I threw all the bound volumes, and literature into the dumpster today
by gubberningbody ini did keep the boxes they were in, though.
i have a use for them.. i also tossed all my outlines, kms, letters, etc..

When we were throwing all our books out I picked up the Aid book and an envelope fell out. Inside was £1500. We were broke, we had just lost our business and in the process of losing our house.
Hmm was that a sign that the W/T god did care....... nah my husband had stashed it there quite a while before and forgot all about it. He very often did that with money he had taken after the banks had closed on a saturday and kept it snuck away till they opened on monday.

Letter from an anointed reader who DA'd after 33 years
by Dogpatch indear randy, early this year i requested disassociation from the org and have been meaning to publish some sort of statement.
i was a member for over 33 years and partook of the emblems.
being an older widow it took some deliberation and guts to make the move but am currently very happy with the change.

Rich Man and Lazarus
by Ding ini have never understood the watchtower's explanation of the rich man and lazarus story jesus told in luke 16. of course, they don't believe jesus is talking about what happens in an "afterlife" after people die.. but from the watchtower's point of view:.
1. who are the five brothers?.
2. why can't lazarus go witness to them?
