  have you ever noticed that when someone mentions the property in ny that the organization has and the values of it, many jws get all excited over it.

  first, they act like they are going to get a chunk of it.

  second, they think all that money goes to preaching and building kingdom halls.

  New kitten has a tumor? WTF!

  i know that wasn't there yesterday.

  no, maybe the cats got into it while were gone for a couple of hours....resident cat swipes at the kitten (whose name is adventure) and this is a blood blister and/or infection.

  Making the leap - lurker to member - Hello!

  i dont have many people to talk to and its been a saving grace to read your posts.. i dont really know where to start so here i go.

  its been a long journey getting here and it looks as if i still have a long ways to go to get somewhere healthy, stable and strong.

  planning for the future

  just a heads up, this thread will contain some personal ramblings and my plans for the future.

  if you're not interested, don't waste your time reading it.. .

  as many of you know, i've been in law school for the last 2 1/2 years, and have 1 semester left to complete that degree.

  finish the simester....get the degree....you will have it,,,IF YOU EVER NEED IT...really no one knows about the future...right now it is not for you...ten years from now,,,,you might feel differently,,,,and really glad you FINISHED....don't throw away the years you have invested....peaches..ps..just my opinion of course....

  Reverse Witnessing - 101

  on the weekends, i am usually found - in the mornings - at the local coffee shop - where i study - and madly write my new ideas - or expand on old ones.. it is a time when i put to paper all of the thoughts of the past week - and dream up new ones for the next one.. anyway, on sunday mornings, there is a retired schoolteacher lady who - with her husband show up after their church services and have breakfast.

  she will usually try to find an open pair of seats at the counter next to me - to talk with me.

  this morning, they sat next to me, and she began talking (which usually interrupts my solo quiet time).. during the chatter, she asked me if i was into sports when i was in school.

  Just a short observation on my Bible study.

  i thought it would be fun to say yes to a weekly bible study just to see how far i could go in undermining the j.w.

  beliefs, also to be honest i thought it would make a family member happy.

  so i slowly and methodically refuted and questioned all the nutty things that my study teacher, or whatever he's called, tried to throw at me over a period of about 4 months.
