I wanted something completely anonymous that no one could figure it was me. I am VERY curious and float around like a butterfly, sit on members *shoulders* and listen to another point of view since I am not completely drinking the *kool-aid*. Corny I know... lol

cliques - a common theme
by rockmehardplace ini am sure it has been touched on many times before, but as i read trying to catch up on some of the topics over the past few months, i see the word clique jump out on so many occassions.

in the congregration i was in, we had a serious problem with it.

There are cliques everywhere, in the workplace, your neighborhood/town and within religious organizations.

Diana you are right no one has walked in your shoes. I personally think some here were a bit harsh but this is the internet and try to let their words rolls off your back. All I was concerned about was your health/safety and you have free will to do what you want. I may not agree but I respect you for being open and trying to get some feedback. Unfortunately when people do not have the whole story they tend to jump to conclusions.

Covering your tracks on the computer after visiting JWN
by Quillsky ini don't have to, fortunately, because i don't share my computer with anyone.. but i've been thinking, with empathy, about those that do.
how far do you go to stop people realizing that you've been here?
do you log in and out every time?

I always use IE8 for day to day activities and when I started reading JWN I installed Firefox. Plus hubby and I have our own PCs. :)

Being A Borg Kid
by Pig ini never became a zelouse witness, but i do remember being a borg kid.
there was no one my age at the meetings for most of my childhood.
except at one stage there was this half in half out family who had a fat annoying kid who never stopped boasting.

I can relate a little when it comes to not having *worldy* friends around. We were allowed very limited time with a neighborhood kid, but we were always different. My parents did make sure we has JW friends over all the time and we always were around others. One regret was not being friends with others who were not JWs. Having non JW friends is SO vital to live in the real world. It took time but I am able to interact with co-workers, thank God for my job. I have grown as an adult and employee being around non-JWs.
Thank you for reflecting it is nice to know others went through similar situations.

If they will cheat WITH you....they'll cheat ON you.
My exact thoughts!
She has free will and do what she feels is right. I persoanlly disagree with being a mistress, but to each his own. PLEASE use protection and have him get tested before you start hitting the sheets.

Healthcare is a definite issue. The US is starting to lean towards mandatory healthcare. In Massachusetts you have to obtain healthcare or be fined etc. So the WTS can see the writing on the wall and can you imagine the costs to insure all those bethelites? They have the $ but will sacrifice those poor volunteers to keep as much as they can.
I knew about the printing moving to Canada last year, thought that was common knowledge.
