Sounds a little fishy to me. Your JC happened way to fast....and what were you df'd for? Trying to give a public talk after you were removed and talking to a df'd person? That alone you will never be df'd over.

Is there a new 'rule' about disfellowshipping which can make it null and void?
by whitman infirstly, if anyone involved in this situation is reading this i hope i haven't overstepped the boundaries by raising this question here.
i'll try to keep it as anonymous as possible.. so folks this is the situation.
it has just been brought to my attention that during some type of shepherding call to a a disfellowshipped person who is experiencing serious mental illness as a result of the situation and the shunning from his family (his father is an elder), an interesting twist of events occurred.. one of the 'shepherding' elders asked the d.f-d person whether they had prayed and dedicated his/her life fully to jehovah before the baptism.

Obviously, JWs hate to believe that anyone would leave the Truth because something is wrong with their Org, so it makes more sense to them to believe that the DF'd JW never had a true dedication and that is why they ended up in the ditch.
I agree but how can an elder make that decision since the person is still baptized in the eyes of the WTS? This will be interesting when the CO comes around, I have never heard of this practice. If this is true I am VERY happy since I know a lot of former JWs were baptized as a minor and never really pondered on what they were doing.

I heard this from a good friend of mine, they gave a talk on "beastiality" in their KH. To be a fly on the wall trying to figure out who has a dog or large animal. lol

Avoiding the Meeting
by brotherdan inso, darth plaugeis (or however you spell it) has suggested that the best way to get out of going to the meeting is to tell your wife that it's time to get ready for the meeting, and when her back is turned hit her over the head with a large object.. i'm sure there are better ways to get out of going.
i'm looking for some real ideas here.
" i like the whole getting your wife (or husband) drunk before the meeting so they won't want to go idea.

I have not read all the posts so I could be repeating....
Could get a job or take a class at a local college that is on the meeting night? She may not like it but you could say you are taking the class for work etc....

What silly rules did your congregation make up?
by weinermcgee inelders were famous for making up stupid rules with no bible base at all as an ego trip i guess, what were some of yours?
i am not talking about the stupid rules that we all had to follow, just the congregation specific silly ones.. 1. having to button your jacket while on stage (this was later changed due to all the elders having a beer gut).
2. suits only or no privledges.

4. no rings on your pinky finger or toes.
That is funny, since most elders here wear pinky rings, more of a sign of distinction.
Our used to be:
White shirts only. If the speaker wore a colored shirt there was always a white starched one available for them. This practice ended in the 80's.
No slits higher than your knee.
No jean skirts. - Funny thing is I sometimes still feel awkward wearing them after all these years.
No skirts shorter than your knee.
When on stage sisters had to wear panyhose.
No flip flops.
Brothers who has *responsibilities* could not wear leather sandals. They were not regular sandals, but shoes that had leather straps intertwining with no holes. They looked fine.
Sideburns could not pass the lower half of your ear.
Brother's hair could not touch their collar.
To be an MS or and elder you had to at least put in 10 hrs of FS a month.
Sisters could not wear fishnet nylons. - I had a blast with these since I wore them anyway.
Flashy suits - We live in New England and one black brother had a funky colored suit and he was asked not to wear it.
Better not show cleavage or you were talked to. It was so hard for sisters who were busty, I felt bad for them.

Oct. 15th WT ( JW Version ) - Don't Trust your Own Viewpoint - it's Distorted
by flipper inonce again our lurking jw friend sent us the oct. 15th jw study version for the wt studies.
in this article you'll observe the wt society really making jehovah's witnesses question themselves, doubt themselves - even if what they are observing the organization doing - they are not to doubt jehovah or the organization, but their own imperfect human judgments.
in other words : " don't trust your own mind - it's skewed ".. under the article titled, " keep on seeking first his righteousness " on pg.8 it lays the groundwork in stating, " seeking his righteousness includes trying to live according to his values, and perfect standards, not our own.

Our viewpoint May be Distorted or Limited " it states, " The second factor to remember when we are faced with a situation that APPEARS to be unfair is that OUR VIEWPOINT MAY BE DISTORTED OR LIMITED.
That is a load of crock. So we are supposed to believe what the GB says ALL the time and not question what is being presented? Umm wait they are ALL imperfect men so how do we know they do not have a distorted or limited thought?

Depends on who the person is. The fanatics shun them like they are Df'd and ones like me treat them like a human being and say hi and engage them in a conversation.
I once got so pissed, a "supposed" regular pioneer in my KH. Another pioneer has a daughter who was inactive, did nothing wrong and the daughter who is a young adult went up to the car group to say "hi". This *pioneer* would not even look her way and acted liked she murdered her family member. People really need to realize if they are not God and should not judge.
