for instance, i have a four-day weekend from work, which means i had today off(with pay, thank you very much).

How does the WTS understand this? (SERIOSULY NEED REPLIES)

hey, i'm trying to figure out how the wts concluded that the children of isreal were cast off.

it's hard to explain to people who beleive that this org came from god is true, when in fact it has teachings that can get people killed if i'm understanding correctly.

it is hard to get them to understand that teaching this is fufilling a prophecy that proves that the org is part of false religion.. there are so many verses that obviously prove this to be a lie and explain why it is a lie.. luke 4:18. matthew 10: 5-12. isaiah 11:11. levitcus 26:44, 45. isaiah 49: 14, 15. romans 11: 1, 2. romans 11: 25, 26. john 4: 22. now i know all organizations that are religious says that outside their religion everything is satan.

Does anyone else find the whole Jah V Satan universal issue absurd?

when i was 'in', that of course was a big thing, and i well knew all the scriptures and resonings behind it.. not long ago i saw a u tube video that took me into deepest space from the hymalian mountains and back in again.

what struck me was the shear immensity of just our own universe, let alone the rest of the known one.

i realized how tiny tiny nothing this little planet is.

I could never understand why jehovah did not simply kill off adam and eve, any desenting angels etc and start again.

'Cause that's what we would do if our children messed up?

Its not like he is not prepared to kill 7 billion humans an unknown demon angels anyway.

Hard question

a question for all those who managed to do it.

when you realize that it's unrealistic to expect someone in the wt to ever leave, and when you see the damage it does you to keep hoping, and to keep trying to get them out, how do you manage the pain?.

what do you do when you know that someone has spoiled the only life that person will ever have, yet you can't reach to them?.

I don't have anyone in the WT, so I can only answer from other experiences. When you've done everything you can to reach someone, and they don't want to listen (or can't) then you can only accept. They are choosing their own path and life. You can be there for them, and you can try to lead by example, but ultimately, everyone chooses their own path.

It is their life to spoil or value. Just be there to catch them if they need you.

People like me, but I wouldn't say they gravitate toward me. I'm a nice person, but too quiet for that - at least until I get comfortable with people. My husband on the other hand, is not always so nice, but he is loud, can definitely be in your face, and a lot of fun- so people tend to gravitate toward him.

The funny thing is that he's very private and this annoys the crap out of him.

Hoj - I don't spend energy researching this stuff anymore. I used to, and tend to get obsessed, which leaves the rest of my life neglected. But my belief is that we should live as Jesus taught, placing our trust completely in him - and then we really don't need to worry about the end or these hidden meanings.

However, I do enjoy reading your insights out of personal interest. You make connections where I haven't heard them before (though I do not confess to being an expert on what all Christian denominations or scholars believe), and they seem quite in depth.

New and interesting food for thought.

Help Please - Wife Misses Friends, Wants to return to KH

the topic says it all.

i am frustrated and dumbfounded.

i understand that she misses the social activity with her "friends" but we have been "very" busy socially the last several months with new friends and she's been having a great time.

I just hope she sees through their BS and drops it again after a few meetings.

Many times, after we leave something, we forget all the reasons why it was so bad. Sometimes that second look, after a new perspective, settles the matter once and for all in our mind.

So I don't think this is an unreasonable hope on your behalf. I think its very likely.
