No they won't read it to the congregations, but perhaps some of the presiding overseers who receive this letter may not be aware of the issue. I can imagine it will shake a few of them. I wonder if this will cause a stir and make the circuit and district overseers call a special meeting. That would be the expected manner of dealing with things.

Badwillie's Life Part 2
by badwillie inpart 2:
one great thing about children is that they are survivors, and they learn how to adapt to changes very quickly.. so the next stage of my life (11-15 years old) was really were i came to fully realize that this was it.

Badwillie - I can clearly remember some of the guys like yourself who got dragged in by their mother's when they were old enough to ave established friendships. Those guys never quite fit in with the "born-into-it" crew. I remember how they withdrew into themselves and never ever made it work.

It set the table for some great storylines... As a side note Melfi was stunning in her dream sequence! Looks great for a lady in her forties.

WT Literature . . . . How important is it?
by garybuss inwt literature, how important is it?
now they have the ability to just upload the current issues on their web site and the individuals could just download then in pdf format and print them out and then underline the answers to all questions asked in red pencil.
no need to print millions.

Gary you are so bang on. If this really is lifesaving information that they have and they have access to the greatest communication tool in the history of man, then why don't they publish everything online for free?
Reason? North Americans and Europeans who have Internet access would no longer need to *buy* all that literature. Uh oh... there goes the revenue stream. If any dubs can't see the WTS for what it is on this basis alone, they are deluded.

SUGGESTED LETTER CAMPAIGN TO GET THE UN TO RELEASE THE WTS FILE
by hawkaw inthe pertinent information dealt with confirmation that a ngo by the name of the watchtower bible and tract society of new york , inc. (watchtower) held an ?associated ngo?
this may not seem as an important issue to the united nations.
1) a photocopy of the original 1991 letter from the watchtower to the dpi requesting an application form for ?associate ngo?

Very well written letter...
One thought occurs to me: the ever-opportunistic WTS would spin the UN posting all of that information on their NGO application as the very fulfillment of the prophecies that the United Nations would turn on Jehovah's people. I am dead serious that they may indeed take that approach and use it to feed the persecution complex.

This is pretty damning stuff. It makes it a lot easier to tell others about what's going on. I have half a mind to have some copies ready for print out and will "witness" to some witnesses who come calling in the area.

INSIDER TRADING.....
by Mary inok, we all know that martha stewart was found guilty on all charges the other day.
while i'm no fan of hers, i think the millions it's cost u.s. taxpayers to prosecute her is totally out of relation to the offense.
no one lost their job, pension or life savings because of what she did.

Mary,
If cases were prosecuted only on a cost-effective basis pr case, we'd never try anyone! The point is that it sends out a cautionary messages to others who might think of consipiring in a similar manner.

LEAST FAVORITE MEETING
by new light init's so hard to choose, but i would have to say the theocratic ministry school was my most hated meeting.
the first few talks were a rephrasing of mind-numbing society doctrine.
then it was time to listen to a ten-year old read nwt to us........... #3 talks, don't even get me started!

I hated the Service Meeting. You would get some brothers who would blow past the suggested "18 minutes" on some of the longer talks. Also I hated the locals needs right after someone was d/fed or reproved when they were coming down hard on whatever had happened recently in the congregtion.
