So Would You Enjoy Blood For Grub?
by Englishman inon 2 recent occasions i have been joined for breakfast by 2 separate individuals, both ex-witnesses.
stunningly - to me anyway - both were absolutely appalled when, for my "choose any 7 items for 1.99" brekky i opted to include black sausage.
just love the way those black bits mix into the egg-yolk, mmm!

what has most influence on JW's?
by sleepy inwhat or who , do you believe has the most influence on how jw's lead their lives?.
is it the watchtower mags, meetings, circuit overseers , governing body, peers,or something else?.
i was trying to think about what most influenced me and i think it is the group pressure we recieve in the org that pushes us most to do things.

perhaps fear of a distorted god is the best way to put it. Remember, the GB is basically god on earth, and I've seen enough people over the years tremble anytime one of them batted an eyelash. I don't care how genuine any of those men are in feeling they are god-appointed, the amount of power they wield over others is disgusting, they know it, and they continue.

I remember once in a car group everbody going postal because I sucked on my finger after accidentally cutting it. Freakish. It wasn't like I was hemorrhaging or anything.
Anywhoo, never had blood sausage, but I'll try anything once.

Ok, we definitely need to have some kind of contest or raffle to give away some of those shirts here on the site. Very Cool!
@moe - I see that thought-provoking thread you posted to has disappeared.

Lookin' for a little advice tonight...
by wasasister ini heard from an old friend today - she is a young woman i knew from my last congregation.
i was asked to attend her bible study because we shared a profession and it was thought we would have something in common.
in fact, she was a very shy young woman shy and attractive, but not in the traditional, flashy way of many witness girls.

How can I support the needy person without sacrificing my own situation?
I agree with Farkal. I understand (I think we all understand) the pressure you feel not to be shunned by friends and family. But this persons life, mentally and emotionally, is being crushed. To allow that to continue and do nothing amounts to continuing as a victim to the organization and its policies. How will you feel looking back on this years down the road?
Perhaps it's time to take a firm stand and let others know what it is. Then you can help anyone in such dire straits without compromising any 'situation' created by WT policy.

Self-Gratification
by DINKY inokay, i'm not trying to start a fight - really!
but i've had this strange question/opinion and wanted to put it out for discussion.. we know how the wt says masturbation is wrong - which i believe is a load of "crud.
" i mean, everybody does it - it's perfectly natural, normal, human, and necessary (especially for men, crucial to being in a decent mood).. so, if jesus was a perfect human, do you all suppose he did?
-
joeshmoe
Maybe that's why Jesus was always looking for a quiet place away from the crowds where he could be alone?
-Joe
@Moe - LMAO!! Don't worry, I already did!
P.S. We're all going to hell. First one there saves seats.

Does one have to be wealthy to get competent legal representation?
Unfortunately, yes, at least if you're going to fight something with the kind of deep pockets WT has.
Let's hope in this case justice prevails (for once).
