  Well, since this thread has degenerated into playground name calling, I'll leave with, "You know you are, but what am I?" and go find something intelligent to discuss like why high heels make your butt look so good but hurt your feet so damn bad.

  I read CofC this week on holiday...life changing stuff!

  hi everyone...thank you for all your well wishes for my scottish hols...it was nice..warm dry weather...lovely scenery...a good rest... what i will remember the most about the holiday is that i read ray franz's book there...in fact i struggled to put it down.

  it was so revealing and informative but was also written without bitterness or malice.

  it stirred many emotions within me ...too many probably...anger, remorse, indignation, sorrow, heartbreak, frustration, sympathy....you name it.... a big emotional journey for me....thanks to all for the recommend i would hate to have missed it..... loz x.

  your original post in this thread seems the most sincere, calm, and sensible thing of yours I have yet read on this site. Your posts besides this one are categorically sensationalist and always focused on what you perceive to be evil, Satanic, or demonic powers influencing people and reality in very indirect ways. Many of your arguments, as alluded to above, have demonstrably zero factual basis. There seems to be almost universal agreement between the non-Christians and the Christians on this board regarding the nature of your posts, namely that your obsession with perceived evil influences is unhealthy and indicative of a personal struggle within you.

  Despite the fact that I've poked fun at you in this forum, I don't hate you, and the only people who do actually hate you are likely ones who, like yourself, have their own issues that they need to address. In my opinion, it's not normal or healthy to hate someone with misdirected but genuinely good intentions, unless that person is calling for hate, violence, or other immoral action. Unfortunately, though, many of your ideas seem not too far removed from the motivating ideas behind the horrible witch-hunt type of atrocities which have occurred again and again throughout history; for those of us who wish to see this horrible cycle broken, messages like yours are seen as very dangerous.

  When you are selling fear--and possibly even hate--you are only going to get buyers who are already looking for fear and hate: are paranoids and hate-mongers the people you're attempting to reach?

  why is it that jw officials always refuse to take part in religious discussion shows like that presented by john ankerberg?

  ia it because they lack deep knowledge of biblical interpretation?.

  Thanks for the comments on my question, all.

  I know of at least once JW who has chosen not to go to their grandchild's wedding since it was held in a church--that's pretty hard-core in my book.

  I once got high with some xJW friends and someone whipped out a ouija board, I was super excited because it was still soon enough after leaving to feel very taboo. Turned out to be a big waste of time and weed.

  After exiting the JW cult, I actually once verbally offered any demons within earshot (how far away can a demon hear?) to possess me, I was totally down for it. I don't think it worked--or if it did, I didn't notice any change, and sure as hell didn't get any super powers. :-)

  Good question because I have seen where 2 elders will go to a local church and discuss their beliefs.

  I've been out for more than 10 years--did they repeal the 'step foot in a church and your doomed' belief?
