it's nice to finally be able to say hello to you all, having been a long time reader of the forum.. i put off signing up as i didn't feel i had much to contribute, but if i'm honest, seeing atlantis' post about confidential information pushed me into it.. i hope i can get round to writing my story - i always enjoy reading others and it never ceases to amaze me how many have had similar experiences.. so there goes my first post!.

Hello and welcome! I actually think that everyone who has had contact with the WTBS has something to contribute on here. Our members over the pond are probably asleep just now but I'm sure you'll get a fond welcome over the next 24 hours. I look forward to reading your story when you feel like sharing it.

a couple of days ago, jehovah's witnesses came round to my house.
nothing exceptional in that, you might say.
it happens every day, all over the world.. but those of you who know me, or who have followed my story, know how traumatised i was when i finally got away from them, and you'll remember that i wrote a letter three or four weeks after walking away, ending all contact.
Well done on the Christmas decs Char. That should speak louder that's the words they're refusing to hear!

now i just have to sign on the dotted line and drop it off and i shall once again be in the permanent job field.
i won't be earning a huge amount by any means but it is enough to cover my bills and to save a little bit.
this does give me that relief of finances coming in, of course i'll be keeping my ears and eyes open for better opportunities, but that being said i shall embrace this new opportunity with open arms and eagerness.. it's been a hellofa tough year people - hellofa tough.
This is good news. I'm happy for you. You sound remarkably grounded and you have done so well to cope with your difficulties. Congrats to you.

i believe i posted on this before.
but,i was recently thinking back when i was still regularly going to meetings.
and how sometimes,just the thought of having to start to get ready to go,sent me in a panic.
I can identify with this. In the end I couldn't go without feeling really ill. It was really bizarre.

Just an update for those interested, first week has gone well and the scales say I've lost 5lbs. Considering we had a wedding and a Christmas party I feel that's pretty good. We are coping well with our 'fast' days of 400 cals too. Hubby has bought me an almost new 'toning' exercise machine from eBay which makes me wobble lol, but doesn't so far seem to be affecting my fatigue issues. MyFitnessPal app is proving to be superb for watching the calories and monitoring progress. Feeling very positive......

i have seen debates and shizzle about god or not god etc etc.. i was even confronted by an aggressive and trheatening muslim in the street, who was angry that i wanted proof that god existed.
he ranted on a load of old b0110cks about 'hell' and stuff.
finally he yelled at me: 'do you want god to write your name in the sky?
Punk, I haven't had chance to read the whole thread yet sorry, but, it's only a short while ago I was reading of your committed faith. Can I ask what changed? It seems such a drastic turn around is all.

i am pleased to announce that candace conti, and her key lawyers rick simons and kelly kraetsch are planning a youtube video to answer any questions that people in our community may have regarding the recent conti v watchtower lawsuit.
i have offered to coordinate the gathering of these questions, and i thought it might be fun to do it in a "competition" style jwn thread, with the best answers being chosen by kelly, rick and candace to be addressed in the video.. as you can imagine, there are some provisos to this.... this is an active lawsuit, so for obvious legal reasons kelly, rick and candace will have the absolute and final decision as to which questions are answered and how much information is divulged when they are answered.we need the answers in the next 7 days, so the "cut off" for this competition is exactly 7 days from the time this thread goes live on jwn.we kindly request that all questions are asked in a respectful manner without any malicious or offensive intent.
any inappropriate questions will obviously be discarded and ignored.
I'd just like to ask Ms Continue if she's managed to find peace from the past? That would be the very best and I do hope she has. I haven't checked through the pages so sorry if I'm repeating, does she still have a faith in God?
