Wow Nugget, the experiences you relate make me so sad that you had to endure that as a family. I am a grandmother to hubby's daughter's child. She is 4 and autistic. She's so delightful we adore her, but there's no way she can go to mainstream school, and I've often wondered how this would be handled in the KH. Now I know. Disgraceful and shocking as usual. Thank you for sharing it with us.

just noticed a blip in their income and spending for 2012 - double the usuall income and 10x the normal expenditure.. anyone know why?
is it something boring like building repairs (was a self-build ~30 years ago, probably starting to fall apart now) or something more scandalous?.
interesting what a nice little "earner" it is - generating about 10k gbp per year.

i have been reading threads about how the rbc operates, so i sort of have a fair idea of what the answers will be.
but i would like to have a more direct answer to my questions.. where do the orders come from that a hall is in need of a remodel, or a new one to be built.. can the elders refuse a remodel or quickly built.. out side contractors are only allowed with rbc approval.
what are the consequences if say a kh needed a new roof, and secular contractor was hired.. is it a case that orders a given that a hall needs a remodel, and that the rbc will have total control, and look out for who ever gets in the way, and elders just have to simply comply.. this is the question i most want answered.
Was a member of an RBC Purchasing Dept for an assembly hall in uk. Was appalled at the waste of money spent on decor at the whim of the stylists. Gold leaf paint? On a ceiling? Crazy stuff.

A mother should have a bond for a child that is far stronger than what any religious leader dictates to them.
I have the greatest respect for you JWfacts, it's too simplistic though to believe the above. The WTBS is a master at convincing mothers that the actions they promote are the absolute BEST for the children they love so dearly. They completely convinced me that my kids lives were at stake and I am a strong intelligent woman. I took a stand against them when my daughter was disfellowshipped because she was struggling with depression and I felt regular contact was necessary. Nevertheless, the WTBS has damaged my whole family, probably irretrievably. We are all very hurt. It's all too easy to blame mothers. Let's lay the blame where it belongs.
As to this thread: love is precious, the love between mothers and children is the most precious, please both fight to preserve it? Do it with forgiveness and compassion.

so i have a couple of options..... 1. an other poster is happy to chat with me but although him and his partner seem lovely i am not sure if i want to, especially at midnight, it's seems a bit sad.
my jw friend is busy tonight with other jws going to a firework night, would have been nice if i wasn't a secret friend now.. 2. my ex collegue fro my mcdonald's years finishes work around midnight / 12.30, but he can't drink, i am trying to get him to be my wing man, but he needs to be in work new years day anyway.. 3. or i can post away here 24/ f ing /7.
i love this place guys i really do, but i am so dependent on you guys for human contact, i need to do something more productive with my time.. there are my three options, which one would you choose?.
If we were at home I'd invite you over Sam but we spend NYE with our friends in Yorkshire. I will ring you after midnight though if I'm still standing lol.

i am pleased to announce that i get to retain my bottom intact for the foreseeable future.. .
milestone check-up just done.
i had a stage 3, 4t anal canal cancer for which i underwent chemo and radiation this past spring.
