  well, i did everything i could to let my dad know that god is not with this organization, there can only be one truth, and the truth can not change.

  the teachings can not change.

  i gave him writtings breaking it down slowly and logically.

  It is mind control...as soon as you begin speaking their minds lock down on the basis that if its against the org it has to be lies..I remember doing it myself. Individuals have to want to know before they can listen and hear, but give it time, maybe your dad will mull it all over in his own time, especially if he's inactive and isnt getting the opposite drummed into him.   Facial hair?

  what the hell is up with the "ban" on facial hair outside of a mustache in the wt?.

  i see nothing about it in the bible, and i remember i did some research and nothing came up in the jw publications.. did i miss something?.

  oh wait, is this another way to get people to conform without scriptural basis.... i want a goatee :(.... actually i'm thinking of growing one and then people would get the idea that i'm not doing so hot in "the truth"..

  my brother in law left us and went to his heaven to be with his dad today at 1:20pm pacific.

  it took his strong body almost two days to give up its fight.

  now we can move on..... his daughter is due to have a new baby on may 20th....a very sad and very happy time and the continuation of life..

  worst privelege ever?

  collecting money after every meeting.

  i could never get someone to help, and i was always last to leave.

  when i did finally have one person who would help, if i used them too often i got questions about why the two of us were always taking the contributions.

  I was on the Purchasing Team of our RBC with an overseer who wasnt sexist...I was sent to 'handle' the purchasing on a Quick Refurb at a coastal village KH one weekend...as a sister....it was really an admin piece of cake but then the PO of that cong couldnt deal with me being a sister with some authority and made life unbearable the whole weekend....I couldnt wait to leave...

  thought i would ask again...when i first started on this site,,,i had my smileys etc...i do not know what happened...but they are gone now???

  i am computer stupid,,,to put it bluntly,,,,i have down loaded several sites,,,,but don't know where they are??

  i have pushed all kinds of buttons,,,and have no idea what i have done..... i have smileys on my email page,,,but not here on my google home page??
